[Ganyu Cosplay] First Anime Convention Experience Sharing with Genshin Impact Bridal Look

It was a tremendous honor to participate as an experience officer at the Star Tribe & Bronze Tree Anime Carnival held in Shanghai on April 5th. As a creator who has long loved the fantasy world of Genshin Impact, being able to meet everyone in an offline event with my carefully prepared Ganyu bridal cosplay was a long-awaited and surprise-filled journey for me.

Regarding this look, I added layered cuts to the wig; the ahoge on top along with the side bang strands recreated the character's lively feel. For makeup, I chose soft pink eyeshadow and lower lashes as the finishing touch, paired with clear light-colored contact lenses, trying to create a sweet, ethereal bridal atmosphere. The main body of this white off-the-shoulder wedding dress features lightweight tulle, lace trim, and abundant pearl embellishments. The small golden bell at the chest and the pearl necklace around the neck reflected wonderful luster under the venue lights, making the convention photos turn out exceptionally well.

At the event, I met so many adorable cuties (fellow cosplayers and attendees). Everyone was incredibly warm and accommodating. Even though I was a bit cautious while posing with my bouquet during the event, every friend who came for photo swaps was super cooperative, some even voluntarily helping me adjust my veil and skirt train. I also received various beautiful "freebies" (unofficial fan-made gifts), ranging from handmade cards to exquisite keychains, each filled with heart and carefully saved by me. This pure atmosphere of offline event interaction was truly enjoyable.

Looking back at the day's shoot, beyond the venue support provided by the organizers, I am deeply grateful to the photographers for their candid snapshots, capturing cover-ready compositions and playful expressions. Since the dress train and sleeve tulle were quite long, walking through the crowded hall wasn't particularly easy. However, after experiencing these small challenges firsthand, it made me appreciate even more the rarity of presenting a lively demeanor to the camera in such a bustling environment.

Although it was my first time participating as an experience officer, standing at the booth, modeling, and connecting with fellow fans made me realize that offline cosplay is not just about showcasing a character, but also transmitting emotions. I tried subtle poses like resting my chin on my hands, making finger hearts, or winking at the scene—gestures that felt natural while lending storytelling depth to the photos. I suppose this is precisely the charm of cosplay, and why I am so passionate about anime-style fashion character creation.

I hope to have more opportunities in the future to meet everyone as Ganyu or other beloved characters.
