This green crossover-collar costume is the core of this makeup and styling. For the sake of accuracy, I specially chose a fabric with a glossy feel. The bright yellow-green color-blocked splicing at the cuffs is the finishing touch, preventing the overall color from being too dull. The white and dark green piping at the neckline has a very obvious texture under strong light. In terms of wigs, I trimmed the blunt bangs of this dark green wig and tied low twin-tails on both sides. The hair ties used pink and light blue candy-colored small claw clips to add some cute elements. The blue pointed-horn hair accessory on top of the head used a stiff material to ensure it could stand upright. Purple contact lenses are the key to restoring the expression, matching with elongated eyeliner and dense eyelashes to make the gaze look deeper. For base makeup, I deliberately used a matte, lighter-toned foundation to preserve facial flatness. A little highlight was applied to the cheekbones and bridge of the nose, and a few small moles were dotted under the eyes to make the face look more vivid. During shooting, I used a pure black background cloth paired with frontal hard light, allowing the character to completely pop out from the background and making the skin texture appear more translucent. Because the character's setting has some special temperament, I tried some experiments in pose design. For example, the pose of crossing hands while biting a bandage carries a slight sense of laziness and danger, and the slightly bent fingers require controlling hand muscles to avoid looking too rigid. The gesture of half-covering the face with the back of the hand is mainly to match the gaze and create a sense of mystery. The last photo's pose of spreading both hands flat is like waiting for something, matched with the pink halo special effect added later on the cheeks, maximizing the contrast. Light and shadow have always been trying to shape this unreal 2D anime feel; every time I adjust the light angle, I have to confirm whether the catchlight in the eyes is in place and whether the shadow on the chin is too heavy. Makeup, shooting, and post-processing were all done entirely by myself—from makeup fixing and lighting to post-production, the moment I saw the final photos, all the exhaustion felt worth it.
