When I got my hands on this Zenless Zone Zero Promare cosplay costume, my first impression was how stiff and structured the tailoring was. The jacket uses a very substantial patent leather material, and once put on, its inherent silhouette makes one look exceptionally sharp. The silver metal buckles at the collar, the zippers, and the intricate metallic pattern embellishments across the chest are all crafted with exquisite texture. The black, white, and silver bodysuit inner layer features large areas of translucent mesh spliced with black patent leather; to capture the clothing's layering against a pure white background, we really put a lot of thought into the lighting.

The wig is a bright blue bob with a long ponytail attached to the side, paired with sharp eye makeup and red pupils, instantly sharpening the overall aura with cold detachment. Since the fabric is high-gloss patent leather, it easily produces large glare spots under intense studio lighting, which can wash out details if not properly managed. The photographer spent a long time fine-tuning the lighting setup, ultimately choosing a clean, high-key background to accentuate the black attire, creating a striking visual contrast.

The shooting process was physically demanding. To highlight the fit of the costume and body contours, I tried poses such as jumping, kneeling on one knee, half-crouching, and lying sideways. The bodysuit creates noticeable resistance during movement, especially with the knee armor featuring circular metal buckles and the ultra-high platform over-the-knee boots, which took immense effort to put on and tested my core stamina to maintain balance over extended periods. To recreate the character's swift and agile nature, I continuously adjusted my limbs to keep my body primed and taut before the lens.

I personally love the sideways reclining and leg-raising shots. When reclining, my gaze needed to follow the light to fully elongate the lines of both legs, while also paying attention to whether the hem of the heavy jacket fell naturally. As for the single-leg lift, which aimed to show the calf muscle contour and the complete shape of the boots, maintaining balance on slender heels engaged my entire body, leaving me thoroughly sore afterward. In one half-crouch pose designed to catch the reflective texture of the bodysuit, I had to micro-adjust my torso's orientation without shifting my center of gravity so the light would fall precisely across the fabric's curves.

The assistant stayed by my side throughout to help tidy the clothing edges and wig layers, since high-gloss patent leather catches fingerprints easily and needed wiping down with a microfiber cloth every few minutes. Everyone on set coordinated seamlessly—from lighting setups to pose adjustments and shutter clicks, the entire workflow was smooth. The studio was on the warmer side, making airtight patent leather rather stuffy to wear, but seeing the radiant luster captured in-camera made all the effort worthwhile. This styling relied on no complex props, depending entirely on the garment's texture and body language to carry the frame, perfectly matching my interpretation of the character's combat state.
