There are actually many details to talk about regarding this Starsea Bunny outfit, from selecting the style to the final images. First of all, the overall blue-and-white gradient color palette perfectly matches Kokomi's Hydro element traits, while the bunny girl styling injects a fresh energy into the character.
The design of the top is very clever. The off-the-shoulder cut paired with the deep blue bow on the chest not only elongates the neckline but also centers the overall visual focus on the collar area. The small accessory on the choker adds a touch of refinement. The skirt features a multi-layered ruffled design with colors transitioning from pure white at the top to a purple-blue at the bottom; this sense of layering really tests the shape and support of the petticoat. To achieve the fluffy yet draped silhouette shown in the photos, I specially chose a stiff tulle petticoat with stronger support.
The blue lace-up chunky heels visually echo the criss-cross ribbons on the white stockings, which not only adds layering to the legs but also gives the entire outfit a beauty of line characteristic of the 2D anime style. For the bunny ear headpiece, I chose a large size with a white base and pink-purple lining, matching the gradient of the skirt for a highly unified visual effect. As for the wig, the blue-and-white gradient colors blend beautifully, and the slight curls at the ends add to the overall lightness.
On the day of the shoot, we chose a real-scene studio with arched windows. The photographer utilized the natural light from outside for diffuse reflection, allowing the light to evenly fall on my face and skirt, creating a soft and translucent atmosphere. The red carpet with gold patterns formed a sharp warm-and-cool contrast with the blue, white, and purple outfit, enriching the colors of the image. In terms of shooting techniques, I tried different standing poses to showcase the advantages of the ribbons and white stockings. This criss-cross ribbon design is great for accentuating leg lines, but the angles need to be carefully adjusted to avoid looking unflattering.
For the makeup, I went with a clear and translucent base paired with cool-toned eyeshadow in the same color scheme as the wig, making the character's temperament better fit the cool and elegant vibe from Genshin Impact. Actually, when cosplaying in an outfit with a petticoat, the biggest challenge is that the skirt easily gets messy when sitting or squatting, so I maintained a standing posture most of the time. To present such a satisfying final cosplay photoshoot, a lot of energy went into the pre-production and on-site coordination, from wearing the costume and styling the wig to communicating positions with the photographer. The lighting atmosphere and color unity of the final images are what I am most satisfied with this time, especially the perfect integration of the water-ripple-like gradient colors with the setting, which makes this Kokomi bunny girl style appear dreamy and vivid under the lens.
