[Denia Cosplay] Phantom of the Starlit Sea in Wuthering Waves: The Mysterious Mask-Wielding Ranger

When shooting this Denia Cosplay photoshoot, I actually put a lot of thought into recreating the textures and details. For the deep blue sleeveless dress, I chose a fabric with a subtle sheen, which, combined with the white ruffled neckline, looks closer to the layered design in the original concept. The starry sky tattoo on the chest was the highlight of this styling; I first used deep purple as a base, layered blue-purple highlights over it, and finally outlined the glowing central ring in white, creating a flowing nebula effect under different lighting angles. The long iridescent wig with a pink-and-blue gradient was given natural curls at the ends, and when paired with the black zigzag hair clips and the cyan circular ornaments on the side, it beautifully brought out the layers of the overall look. The hand-held white mask prop was custom-made, with a matte finish on the surface so it wouldn't cause harsh, glaring reflections even under intense studio lights. During the shoot, I intentionally used a white soft-light object in the foreground to create a blurred frame, giving the image a dreamy, detached feel, while the darker areas retained the rich depth of the dress's deep blue color. The entire process from makeup trial to finishing the photos took about four hours, with the main challenge being adjusting the curve of the wig's sidelocks to ensure they didn't block the view of my colored contacts. This time, I experimented with cool-toned, high-key lighting combined with the shallow depth of field of a large-aperture lens to completely separate the character from the background, focusing my gaze on the fingertips holding the mask, hoping to convey that detached yet focused temperament of the character. As a cosplay creative endeavor, what I care about most is using Anime-style photography to clearly tell the story between the costume, props, and the character's expression, rather than just chasing filter effects.
