On August 22, I visited the cherry blossom tree at Great China, this time bringing a self-coordinated JK uniform interpretation of Robin.
Because Robin is defined by her heavenly singing and gentle grace, I wanted bright, luminous colors when choosing the JK uniform. Pairing a crisp white shirt with a blue-and-pink plaid pleated skirt maintained harmonious color cohesion. The outfit was bought and tailored: the original neckline was cut too low, so I added concealed snaps and adjusted the waistband higher to elongate leg lines. Pairing it with white socks and black leather loafers ensured the look felt lightweight while preserving classic schoolgirl charm.
The wig was a long, wavy blue-and-pink gradient. Achieving that gradient was tedious, requiring multiple layers of color spray. The critical centerpiece was the golden halo hovering atop the head: the miniature stars and tiny wings inside were hand-painted piece by piece, anchored with clear fishing line to float above the crown. The biggest fear on set was the halo tilting, requiring constant resets every few frames.
For makeup, all focus went to the eyes. Because of the large-diameter blue circle lenses, I kept the eyeliner delicate, using pinkish-purple eyeshadow swept across the eye sockets before applying star stickers beneath the outer corners. This translucent, dewy makeup harmonized with the pink cherry blossom backdrop. A lightweight liquid foundation ensured the base never looked cakey under strong lighting.
During the shoot, my favorite selects were the salute and the single-leg balance pose. The photographer, @龙骧nightfall, noted that symmetrical standing looked too stiff, so we explored asymmetric stances, shifting weight slightly to accentuate leg contours and pleated skirt facets, granting the composition lively bounce and kinetic energy. With crowds of passersby watching, I felt somewhat inhibited initially, but soon melted into the scene beneath the cherry blossoms, incorporating winged bird-like hand gestures for playful flair. Post-processing focused on subtle color unification, nudging pink saturation slightly to make the soft blue hair pop. I hope this Location shoot offers a fresh perspective on Robin, with deep gratitude to the photographer's patient direction that helped me fully relax and breathe life into the persona.
