The core visual focus of this photoshoot was anchored entirely around the harmony of violet tones. For the Purple wig, I selected a highly saturated deep violet shade, trimming the bangs clean and flat while styling the sides into defined drill ringlets. Accented with white floral hair accessories and swinging tassel drop earrings, this framed the face with dynamic visual depth. On the cosmetics front, blue-violet colored contacts were paired with eyeliner extended outward to elongate the ocular contour. The complexion remained pristine, luminous, and clear, tied together by natural pale pink lips for an immaculate finish.
The wardrobe represents an exquisite hybrid of modified traditional Japanese elements and Lolita aesthetics. The inner piece features a crossed collar contrasting pale purple and white, layered beneath a deep purple wide-sleeved haori jacket trimmed with black ruffled frills at the cuffs and shoulders. The lower garment showcases a dark apron-style overskirt adorned with pastel violet butterfly and floral embroideries, revealing a purple pleated underskirt and tiered white lace ruffles beneath. Brown leather Mary Jane shoes and white lace-cuffed calf socks grounded the footwear.
This session was completed at the Zhengzhou Shiyue Cosplay Experience Studio. The studio staging was executed with remarkable craft: a massive circular luminary in the background simulated a full moon, draped with cascades of trailing wisteria garlands and ambient fairy string lights. The primary key lights cast cool purple-blue illumination, contrasted by warm amber ambient fills in the background to build exceptional color separation. In hand, I held a black thread-bound book with a writing brush, alongside a traditional handheld lantern decorated with violet ribbons, while a white wagasa paper umbrella rested at the edge of the frame. Photographer Shiyue demonstrated seasoned mastery over lighting: facial fill was delightfully soft, and the convergence of cool blue-violet key lights with warm environmental highlights yielded an ethereal, translucent image texture.
Throughout the shoot, I transitioned through diverse postures—browsing the open pages of the book, hoisting the lantern to meet the lens with a quiet gaze, or touching a thoughtful finger to my lips. Because the set was lush with wisteria vines and suspended lights, the slightest movement set the hair tassels swaying, while the raised embroideries across the skirt caught directional highlights with tangible dimension. Every garment detail—from the gathering of the ruffles to the intricate lace weaves—resolved tack-sharp under the glass.
Production proceeded seamlessly. Featuring Mumu before the camera, our on-set chemistry was effortless, dialing in each gesture and light angle to an ideal balance. The final aesthetic bridges vintage lyricism with dreamy fantasy; the violet palette carries undeniable visual impact, and the color echo between the wig and garments aligned flawlessly. With the studio's wisteria canopy and full-moon installation providing stellar environmental weight, minimal digital post-processing was required—the raw in-camera atmosphere was already extraordinary.
