When shooting this Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay photoshoot, a wonderful sense of destiny was secretly surging within my heart. Slipping into this black gothic dress, putting on the blue-and-black ram horn headpiece, and tidying up that water-blue long curly wig with thin bangs, it felt as if the me in the mirror had instantly stepped into Ave Mujica's world, woven with magnificence and mystery.

A lot of effort went into the details of this makeup and styling. The black skirt hem features lightweight pleats and ruffles, paired with silver decorations of star and moon patterns, retaining gothic deepness while losing none of the dreamlike refinement. The hexagram choker on the neck and the black gloves on the arms unify the overall cool color palette beautifully. Although putting on and taking off this costume truly takes some time, and the tight restriction from the cuffs and corset even leaves me a bit breathless, this is precisely the price of the character's cold and lofty aura, and I gladly embrace it for this blue hair style look.

Regarding the shooting location, we intentionally selected an indoor space with tall, arched windows. The light filtering in from the windows leaned cool, forming an excellent light reflection with the dark, highly reflective polished floor. A lot of arrangements were also made for the props; that black high-back chair with hollow carvings carries a great sense of ritual, adorned nearby with blue glowing crystals, white paper flowers, and a decorative book with vintage English letters. The exquisite white porcelain tea set placed on the chair adds a touch of gorgeous yet slightly melancholic lifestyle vibe to this dark theme. During the shoot, I tried several different poses—such as sitting upright on the black chair and turning sideways to gaze into the distance—hoping to capture the character's independent yet slightly fragile moments. Especially those front-facing shots sitting on the black throne with black wing decorations behind, the symmetrical composition and chilly atmosphere combined perfectly, bringing Ave Mujica's noble yet detached stage presence to the absolute max.

Just as I wrote in the post description, I was already mentally prepared for "0 people care" when posting this set. This kind of self-deprecating or even self-mocking mindset perfectly matches my daily routine after every photoshoot. Photography is a long process that requires passion to sustain; from styling the wig, coordinating the outfit, and moving the props to matching the lighting and angles, care was poured into every step. Perhaps I don't need everyone to empathize and praise it; being able to accurately present the desired atmosphere in front of the lens, blending gothic style and dark elements into the same frame, is already a highly complete creative experience for this piece of dark style photography.

During the shooting process, I kept reflecting on how the sense of heavy burden carried by the character Sakiko Toyokawa might be her unique charm. Although this shoot didn't deliberately chase a dramatic climax of a certain moment, focusing more on a calm showcase, I can still clearly feel my focused self entering the character's state under the cool-toned lighting that day when looking back at these photos. Everyone interprets characters differently; some prefer intense expressions, while I lean toward this introverted and immersive restoration. If there's an opportunity later on, perhaps I will try to enrich this scene arrangement, adding some smoke effects to make that dark, gorgeous temperament pop even more. However, the current finished images are already enough to keep me happy for a good while. After all, the meaning of Cosplay inherently lies in enjoying the gorgeous time and space you create, being a protagonist belonging solely to yourself.
