Bringing Shimoe Koharu's look to life for this offline event required dedicated attention, from base makeup to securing head accessories. To capture her signature look, I invested substantial effort into facial styling—choosing pink-brown contact lenses paired with painted hearts and fine line motifs beneath the lower lids to accentuate eye contours. The wig was layered and trimmed, while the black beret and the wing-like black hair accessories flanking the sides required extra-firm fastening; thankfully, they stayed securely in place throughout walking and handling props. The black lines along the neck were drawn with liquid eyeliner to complement the black choker, keeping details as faithful to the original design as possible.

The wardrobe paired a black jacket with a white sailor collar accented by pink striping, finished with a broad pink tie across the chest; the pink sleeve color-blocking and black stripes laid smooth and flat. The black feathered wings worn on my back took up a bit of space when maneuvering through crowded convention halls, but I kept them on throughout the day for full visual fidelity. The pink prop rifle had a well-balanced heft, crafted from lightweight high-density foam so aiming and holding poses never felt overly taxing. With heavy crowds and complex ambient lighting inside the hall, we scoped multiple angles between booths and carpeted zones before capturing frames with truly satisfying illumination and framing.

The venue air conditioning was running high, making the outfit comfortable to wear. I met numerous photographers and fellow fans across the hall; everyone was exceptionally friendly and communication was effortless. During takes, adjusting my grip on the prop rifle and the direction of my gaze required repeated calibration. Facing the camera straight-on demanded intense concentration, as even slight chin tilts dramatically altered the catchlights in my eyes. Testing waist-up and tight close-ups, this styling proved especially impactful in macro shots where makeup nuances shone—particularly the under-eye embellishments beneath good lighting.

Prop maintenance was equally vital: the pink paint finish scuffed easily on impact, so I stored the rifle carefully between takes. Managing the wig was another ongoing project—the long pink curls tangled easily in foot-traffic currents, so I kept a comb and detangling mist on hand to smooth the strands during breaks. The convention layout was spacious, suiting full-body framing and environmental perspectives. Although certain corners were dim, leveraging overhead exhibition downlights yielded unique atmospheric moods.

From early makeup tests to live shooting on the convention floor, the entire process was an exercise in continual adjustment and environmental adaptation. Perfecting a gaze or gesture often meant repeated discussions with photographers. The synergy between venue scenery and tactical props amplified the character's presence. Overall, the execution met all my expectations, enriching my experience with varied lighting environments and reinforcing just how critical detailed preparation is to bringing a character to life.
