Stepping onto a three-step ladder and switching to a 16-28mm wide-angle focal length for a high-angle shot, this top-down perspective distortion can instantly magnify the visual tension of the movement. Especially when shooting the hand-reaching pose in Photo 2, the lens was only a dozen centimeters away from the hand, yet it created an outward expanding elongation for the body and skirt behind, perfectly capturing the same spatial oppression as in bunny's (Amiya's) PV.
The dress for this Amiya Ambience Synesthesia look was shot on a water-ripple reflective base lining at the set. The pure white multi-layered gauze skirt, paired with an ice-blue choker and ring decorations on the fingers, gives the overall color palette a very cool, detached feel. During the shoot, matching blue and white faux floral arrangements allowed the environment and character details to fully merge. Meanwhile, the towering rabbit ears had a very solid internal support structure; even under a nearly 90-degree high-angle perspective, the tips of the ears still maintained an upright and full silhouette without being eaten away by lens distortion.
The treatment of details on this dress is truly impressive. The white hollowed-out lace sleeves make the upper arms appear light and transparent, and the white semi-transparent petal-shaped hair accessory connecting to the edge of the arms also enriches the character's head styling, preventing it from looking monotonous against the pure white skirt hem. To achieve this forward-reaching foreground pose, I tried about five or six different extension angles for my arm. In a wide-angle environment, a discrepancy of just a few centimeters makes the proportions of the fingers look extremely jarring. I had to precisely control the orientation of the arm and the extension of the fingertips to match that feeling of almost touching the lens.
When setting up the shoot venue, the floor was covered with a layer of silver-white reflective fabric so that when the light hit down, it wouldn't look dead white but would exude a subtle blue tone instead. Paired with a cool color grading in post-processing, we ultimately achieved a texture relatively close to that layer of surrounding water vapor in the original art. The image in Photo 3, with my head slightly lowered and hands clasped together, attempts to create a quiet atmosphere amidst a massive patch of floral arrangements with strong perspective. Although this type of dress is visually intricate and gorgeous, in practice, the stacking of the skirt hem needs to be adjusted multiple times during wear to prevent the overly long gauze from causing unnatural pulling on floor creases.
The eye makeup and eye color combination for this look also featured striking blue contact lenses, completing an overall color loop with the color of the choker. In the backward glance while sitting sideways in Photo 4, you can see the chestnut-brown wig braided into a single plait to the side. Paired with the masking from the rabbit ear hairpiece, it showcases the character's gentle, daily side from a profile angle. This 16-28mm high-angle shoot was indeed an excellent attempt at spatial composition, allowing the layered feel of the clothes to be preserved to the maximum extent under what would otherwise be a puffy wide-angle state.
