For this Zenless Zone Zero Ye Shunguang shoot, I opted for battle attire steeped in Chinese fantasy aesthetics. To faithfully recreate Ye Shunguang's aura, I dedicated extensive prep work to everything from wig styling to tactical gear. This white-to-pink gradient short wig catches the sunlight with strikingly different lusters; ensuring smooth, organic transitions between the pale forehead fringe and soft pastel tips took considerable hairstyling effort. The primary palette revolves around crisp white and silver: the top features a halter-neck cutout silhouette accented with black-and-silver metallic buckles and cinching harnesses, while the tapered waist sculpts a sharp, agile bodily contour. The detached white cutout arm sleeves, banded with metallic rings and slender crimson cords, added fluid dimensional layering whenever raising my arms to wield the blade.
The longsword was unquestionably the soul prop of the entire production. Delicate silver filigree adorns the hilt, and crimson tassels dangle gracefully with every stance, injecting a vivid dash of color into the silver-white wardrobe. To complement the sword presentation, I purposefully sat with crossed legs, elevating the scene's sovereign presence while framing the lower-body styling. The sprawling crimson totem markings along the legs serve as a crowning highlight of this concept, paired with black mesh-paneled heeled boots sporting eye-catching red soles and yellow vamp embroidery. Due to the towering heel height, holding each pose demanded continuously pointing my insteps; though physically taxing on the calves, the resulting sharp, energized curves made every drop of effort worthwhile.
I was equally enamored with the set design—an immersive journey into classical oriental refinement. Behind me stood expansive bamboo-shadow screens layered with semi-sheer white drapery, framing a dark-timber daybed topped with a plush white fur rug. The art department took exquisite care with set dressing: a circular woven rush cushion rested by the bed, a low table to the right hosted a Weiqi go board with stone bowls, while celadon porcelain vases, black-glazed wine jars, and jade-green vessels were artfully arranged to the left.
When sunlight filtered through the lattice windows and bamboo shadows across my skin, the ambient chiaroscuro proved mesmerizing. Highlights glistened across the white fur rug, celadon glazes, and metal hardware, instantly pulling multi-layered depth out of the composition. Throughout the session, I continuously adjusted seated angles and ocular focus, aiming to convey an air of effortless composure masking coiled, lethal readiness. Peering into the lens, I immersed myself in the scene, imagining under what exact stakes she would draw her blade. Maintaining makeup fidelity required ongoing facial composure; the crimson-diffused eye gradients and scarlet cosmetic contacts demanded precise lighting angles to catch that razor-sharp glint. Navigating continuous posture resets was demanding, but bringing this fusion of classical poetry and martial tension to life was an exhilarating game character cosplay journey.
