[Agnes Digital cosplay] The Pink Cutie in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, Meticulously Recreating the Talisman and Pink-haired animal ears Styling - Image 1

Preparing this outfit for Agnes Digital took quite a bit of time during the preparation phase. Starting with the costume, the primary color palette is white accented with red, pink, and blue, featuring intricate cuts and numerous layered ruffles along the neckline and cuffs. To achieve that light and fluffy silhouette when worn, slightly stiffer fabric was specifically chosen for the inner lining to hold its shape. The heart pattern on the oversleeves required specific light blue piping, which tested my patience during crafting. The blue bow on the chest paired with the red semi-circular accent makes the overall color scheme very lively, perfectly matching this Anime girl's energetic spirit.

Next are the wig and props, which were also the key focus of this styling. Managing the Pink-haired animal ears and wig was time-consuming: I had to braid the pigtails while styling the bangs and sideburns to give the strands a natural, airy bounce. The two pink animal ears on top of the head were secured to hair clips to ensure they wouldn't tilt when turning my head during the shoot. The talisman on the forehead has a yellow base with red borders; the characters were printed and precision-cut, adhering seamlessly. The white floral accessory also needed careful angle adjustment to avoid obstructing my view.

Regarding makeup, blue contact lenses paired with pink blush and eyeshadow were key. The eye makeup was shaped slightly rounder to bring out the innocent look of anime characters, and false eyelashes were applied with special attention to naturalness. The shoot took place in a solid-color studio under bright lighting to create the translucent clarity suited for a 2D character. During the shoot, eye contact was the main focus to convey a playful and adorable charm. While the outfit has many layers, the overall wearing experience was quite comfortable; I just had to mind the angles of the wide sleeves while posing to keep the composition full and dynamic. Overall, this Roleplay gave me a deeper appreciation for the character, and I hope to convey this vitality to everyone.
