For this shoot, I collaborated with Chizuru to bring this Elysia Goddess of Love look to life. Preparing the entire outfit took quite some time: the wig required careful detangling and smoothing, while the small pink-and-white hat felt very light and comfortable to wear. The dress features intricate lace and a red rose corsage, requiring extra caution during dressing to prevent snagging. To match the persona of the Goddess of Love, the makeup intentionally featured higher color saturation and shimmering glitter around the eyes, which blended with the colored contacts to create a very gentle gaze. For this Anime-style photography session, we selected a studio set with a pink backdrop and a golden birdcage, where red rose vines and cascading ribbons added rich layers to the scene.
The biggest challenge during shooting was the pair of red high heels—they had very high heels and tight straps across the instep, making holding seated or standing poses for long periods a real test of stamina. However, the White stockings provided an amazing leg-lengthening visual effect, and with the studio lighting hitting precise angles, the overall texture was substantially elevated. While posing inside the birdcage, the photographer guided me to use the bars and roses as framing elements to create a delicate silhouette. For close-ups of hand gestures and facial expressions, I focused on channeling a lively, loving, and slightly playful demeanor. The shots resting a finger against my lips were spontaneous improvisations on set that turned out nicely.
The preparation before each shutter click and managing the fine details were fascinating—whether it was the volume of the skirt hem, the smoothness of the White stockings, or the exact placement of the pearls on the bodice, every detail influenced the mood of the frame. In post-processing, we preserved the natural luminescence of the lighting without excessive skin smoothing to keep the fine texture of the fabrics intact. This was a costume crafted with love, and the shoot also highlighted small tweaks for next time, such as achieving a snugger fit for the belt and gloves. I hope this photo set conveys the serene and sweet atmosphere I felt inside that golden cage.
