The costume was crafted from a black-and-purple velvet fabric, with a high-slit cut that nicely accentuates body lines. To match the elf ear prosthetics for this Elf ears cosplay, the makeup was styled in cooler tones, paired with light blue contact lenses to make the gaze appear more ethereal. When shooting this set, I mainly focused on how body movements could express the character's presence in specific scenarios, ultimately choosing a side-sitting posture. The bouquet prop held in hand features pearl chains and sheer fabric to add lightness and depth to the dark color scheme.
The shooting location was set against a dark purple background, using soft lighting to highlight facial features and skin texture. Since these were convention photos, time was quite tight, but adjusting the light angle properly was crucial to avoid highlight blowout while allowing the black gown to showcase velvet's signature reflective sheen. The high heel straps paired with petal shapes brought balance to the overall visual center of gravity. In post-processing, the main focus was unifying the cool purple tones, preserving delicate skin texture, and sharpening the catchlights in the eyes.
