Heading to Shanghai cpsp tomorrow! Yesterday, my cosplay partner and I did our final makeup and costume trial, snapping a few test photos along the way. Portraying Elysia (Elysia Herrscher of Human: Ego cosplay) comes with an incredible amount of costume details, especially the winged shoulder armor and that massive bow prop in hand. Because the great bow was custom-crafted specifically for this convention, its fidelity is top-tier, but it's also remarkably heavy. Holding it up for poses made my arms shake, but I gritted my teeth to hold it for the photos—the moment we wrapped up, my arms felt completely numb. This white-and-purple Gorgeous battle attire has fantastic texture, especially the holographic laser fabric along the skirt hem, which reflects dazzling iridescent colors under the light. To prevent wardrobe malfunctions, form-fitting base layers were worn inside, offering a snug and comfortable fit.

The long pink wig has generous volume and took plenty of time to style; paired with the white wing hairpieces on top, it creates a profoundly sacred and gorgeous aura. Even with tall boots, the leg garters combined with bows and gold accents on the boots make the lower body stand out brilliantly. Wearing comfortable boots is essential for this character; these thick platform soles, while slightly heavy, visually elongate the legs wonderfully. For makeup, I chose clean pink-purple eyeshadow paired with soft pink lip gloss to harmonize with the wig. I applied blush slightly heavier than usual since convention hall lighting easily washes out makeup, locking everything down with multiple coats of setting spray.

A quick tip for anyone looking to cosplay this look: this outfit has many metallic parts, so watch out for snagging the sheer tulle of the skirt when walking. I recommend handling props gently at the Shanghai Anime Convention and avoiding swinging the bow too aggressively. Tomorrow on the exhibition floor will definitely be exhausting, so today I need to inspect the bow and wings thoroughly and adjust the harness straps to the most comfortable fit so nothing slips in the crowds. Our schedule with my partner is all set—beyond getting my own shots, I'll be helping snap gorgeous photos for my partner too, as taking turns being each other's fan support is what makes it fun.

When I first put on this Gorgeous battle attire, I worried whether I could carry such an extravagant style, but the final test result exceeded all expectations, projecting great presence in the mirror. All minor details were fine-tuned before shooting: skirt pleats, wing angles, and quiver positioning, ensuring we present our absolute best in front of the booths tomorrow. What I enjoy most about every cosplay is the unique sense of ritual when stepping into character. From gathering materials to crafting and makeup testing, every step is pure joy. I'm thrilled to make it to this Shanghai Anime Convention and hope to meet fellow enthusiasts on site who appreciate the details of this outfit. See you tomorrow!
