I've finally sorted out this set of behind-the-scenes swimsuit photos for Kuromi Serika cosplay. The shooting location was set up with blue-and-white striped sunshades and wooden beach chairs, along with artificial palm trees and a clear pool, which instantly amped up the holiday atmosphere. I'm holding that blue-and-white lifebuoy; it's actually made of very lightweight foam material, but to pose naturally, I still had to control the strength in my arms a bit. The second picture, where I'm sitting on the chair with my legs crossed, is a candid shot I'm really happy with. I was looking down and adjusting my hair at that moment, which perfectly captured a more relaxed state.
The details of the outfit were handled quite well this time. The black ruffled swimsuit paired with white piping is highly faithful to the original design. The blue twin-tails wig was styled in layers, and with the animal ear hair accessory, the entire look appeared exceptionally refreshing under the sun. To match the swimsuit theme, I specifically chose black platform flip-flops, which were both convenient for walking near the water and didn't look out of place. The water surface in the shooting environment had strong reflections, so the lighting technician on-site kept helping me adjust angles to avoid heavy facial shadows.
Shooting an outdoor session in a swimsuit is actually quite different from what I imagined. Although it looks effortless, maintaining a graceful posture in front of the camera while making sure the wig and accessories aren't messed up by the wind is quite physically demanding after a whole session. Fortunately, the final results came out looking very crisp, preserving the bright atmosphere of a summer water park. This set of behind-the-scenes clips serves as a little teaser before the official summer film is released, capturing some genuine moments during the shoot.
