[Barbara Cosplay] Genshin Impact Summer Sailor Uniform: Rubber Duck on Refreshing Stairs

Among many characters, Genshin Impact Barbara's healing image has always been deeply rooted in people's hearts, and this time I chose her classic Summer sailor uniform cosplay look. The overall design of this outfit is filled with refreshing sea breeze elements, featuring an eye-catching blue and white color scheme.

Recreating clothing details was the highlight of this shoot. The top uses a glossy fabric with a classic broad sailor collar edged with exquisite white lace trim, forming great layering against the dark blue base fabric. The huge orange bow knot on the chest serves as the visual focus for the entire upper body; care was taken regarding fabric stiffness when tying it so it maintains a 3D shape across various poses. Detachable white arm sleeves are another feature of this costume; navy blue edging and golden cross-star patterns at the cuffs show nicely with every gesture, retaining the design sense of an Anime girl outfit without looking overly bulky.

The lower half features a fitted short design paired with a single white floral thigh ring on the left side, a detail that beautifully highlights leg lines when shooting on stairs. On my feet, I wore platform high-heeled sandals decorated with small white daisies, whose blue striped straps echo the primary color scheme of the outfit. Although these shoes look stylishly designed, standing on marble stairs required quite some effort to control my center of gravity—especially during single-leg standing or leg-lifting moves, which posed a real test for ankle stability and core strength.

As for prop usage, I brought two small items that really enhanced the atmosphere. One was a blue-and-yellow inflatable swim ring, whose colors happened to echo the blue and white of the outfit as well as the orange of the bow. The other was a plush rubber duck fixed to the side of my waist; this little duck added a playful touch in seated poses and served as a visual focus in dynamic standing poses.

Regarding hair and makeup, I selected a light golden wig with great hair strand texture to style into classic side twintails, accented with a striking large white flower hairpiece on one side. To match the character setting, the base makeup remained clear and flawless, while the eye makeup combined pale pink with earth tones, emphasizing the aegyo sal and outer eye corners to make the gaze look more lively and energetic. The overall makeup color palette leaned toward orange-pink tones, complementing the orange bow on the outfit and the white flower on top of the head.

The location chosen for this shoot was a set of European-style marble stairs. Roman pillars in the background and black wrought-iron carved handrails on the side created a spacious environmental depth, contrasting beautifully with the refreshing summer look. During Cosplay photography, I tried various poses to enrich the composition. When standing on the stairs, I leaned against handrails or slightly shifted my center of gravity to strike stretching poses like lifting one leg, showcasing outfit details and body curves. Seated poses on the stairs were more relaxed, such as smoothing my hair, raising both hands defensively, or interacting with the rubber duck and swim ring as props—actions that gave the images natural interaction and vitality.

Overall, Genshin Impact character outfit designs have always had great playability, and this Barbara summer look is no exception. It combines exaggerated anime elements while retaining the comfort of casual swimsuits. Integrating props, outfits, and environment during Cosplay photography is something worth pondering for every cosplay project. This bright, refreshing color scheme perfectly fits the hot season, serving as a cool, refreshing summer photo memory.
