My Azur Lane Golden Lion Cosplay convention photos have finally been sorted out. The convention had a huge turnout that day; even with air conditioning inside the venue, walking back and forth in this outfit brought out quite a bit of sweat. To faithfully recreate the character's design, I adjusted the position of the pale green antler prop atop my head several times. Since it was anchored with a transparent headband, any vigorous movement could tilt it out of place, so I made sure to keep head gestures minimal and gentle while posing. The wig was styled into twin braids, which took me an entire evening to comb and set beforehand. To ensure the braids looked fluffy and natural, they couldn't be woven too tightly, and the bangs were lightly curved with a curling iron to flatter the contours of my face. The makeup focal point was the blush—soft peach tones were diffused widely beneath the eyes, which, paired with the Elf ears cosplay props, visually leaned much closer to the vibe of anime illustrations. The costume details are fairly intricate, layering a white lace bustier under a semi-sheer chiffon top with a midriff-baring waist. To ensure flattering waistline proportions on camera, I even squeezed in several core workouts before the shoot. The lower half features white lace shorts paired with a sweeping cyan cape; the cape has a white lining with gold-stamped foil patterning along the trim, creating wonderful textural depth whenever whipped around. I chose the pose in photo three with one leg resting on the railing as the cover shot because that angle beautifully showcased both the graceful drape of the cape and the silhouette of my legs. The clear platform high heels were actually quite tough to walk in, leaving the balls of my feet aching after standing for long stretches, yet I pushed through the entire session for the sake of visual harmony. From a photographic perspective, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of the convention center provided an exceptionally clear, natural light source. The cool-toned illumination fell across the white lace and golden wig, bringing out a remarkably delicate texture. Since no complex reflectors were deployed, my face was slightly shadowed in backlit angles, but fortunately, post-processing helped brighten up the skin tone a bit. All in all, immense care went into recreating Golden Lion's costume and props this time. The convention atmosphere was fantastic, working with several photographers was a blast, and our hit rate for great photos turned out delightfully high.
