[Iuno cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Blue-Haired Saintess Amid Lunar Phase Rotations

Shooting a Iuno cosplay framed around the concept of lunar phase rotations was an experience deeply rooted in meticulous details. The outfit features exceptionally rich layering: from the gold-trimmed white bodice to the sheer cyan-blue draped stole adorned with intricate totemic sigils, every seam and metallic accessory demanded precise placement during dressing to guarantee optimum dimensional depth on camera. In particular, the metallic armor plate and gemstone inlays across the waist generated varying refractions under studio lights, requiring continuous subtle adjustments to body angles throughout the shoot.

Styling the wig proved the most time-consuming phase of the preliminary preparation. Recreating the character's radiant blue gradient gradient meant laying down a solid base foundation before layering in highlighted fiber strands. The prominent cowlick (ahoge) atop the crown and the dual-flank hair ornaments required generous amounts of hairspray and bobby pins to lock in place, ensuring the wig resisted flattening or fraying during dynamic posing. For makeup, the focus lay entirely on ocular sculpting: blue irises complemented by delicate eyeshadow shading strived to imbue the gaze with profound, crystal-clear depth, while the base complexion remained pristine and translucent to harmonize with the intense, cool-white ambient lighting of the set.

The set design on location was pure fantasy: white openwork carved arches framed by dense clusters of blue and white blossoms, with the floor dressed in a rich blue carpet edged in traditional meander key patterns, forging a holy, ethereal atmosphere. To match this high-key, cool-toned setting, I paid strict attention to facial fill lighting and bounce reflector positioning, preventing the intense ambient brightness from flattening facial contours. Because the wardrobe leaves significant skin exposed—especially the leg straps and high-heeled sandals cosplay accents—posing required conscious muscle elongation, capturing elongated leg silhouettes while upholding the character's aloof, regal elegance.

During seated poses, crossing my legs visually extended proportions while allowing the sheer stole behind me to drape naturally, injecting fluid motion into the frame. Standing stances emphasized the overall garment silhouette, raising arms and pivoting the waist to showcase the polished metallic gauntlets and girdle. Throughout the session, seamless communication with the photographer regarding lighting trajectories and lens focal lengths was vital.
