This set of photos was taken in an indoor all-white photo studio. When planning it, we wanted to present a clean atmosphere carrying a slice of fantasy colors.

Regarding this costume, a lot of thought went into it from the design sketches to the finished garment. The overall primary color scheme features white, black, and blue, supplemented by rose gold line embellishments. The greatest challenge lay in the irregular cut at the chest and the hollowed design at the waist. To recreate that characteristic combining mechanical elements with weightless lightness, fabric selection underwent multiple tests, ultimately finalizing a patchwork of supportive, rigid fabric and soft chiffon gauze. The shorts on the lower body coupled with the blue-and-pink gradient semi-transparent ribbons, alongside the irregular over-knee sock on the right side, visually created a great asymmetrical aesthetic beauty.

In terms of hair and makeup, to match this character's ethereal feel, I specially selected this pale pink long wig featuring a light blue translucent hair accessory on top, rendering the overall tone highly refreshing. The makeup wasn't too exaggerated, dominated by a clear base makeup while focusing heavy attention on modifying the eyeliner and eyelashes to let myself display a confident and composed state before the lens. The lips selected a pale pink shade to echo the hair color.

The prop was still handmade together with my partner. This weapon, which functions as both a microphone and a staff, adopts a light blue crystal-textured material at the tip, paired with meticulous silver and gold patterns; it holds a very substantial weight in hand and became an excellent visual anchor within the frame.

During the shooting process, the photographer was incredibly awesome, cleverly utilizing this large area of mirror reflection flooring in the studio to manufacture a sense of spatial extension. We cooperated with white gauze, white cloud models, and simulated blue-and-white bouquets to construct a dreamlike pure-colored space. For lighting, a high-key broad white light was applied, letting the photos overall project a translucent and bright texture. To catch the best angles, we walked back and forth several times in the studio, constantly adjusting the positions of our feet and the foreground bouquets to prevent the frame from looking cluttered.

Here I want to specially mention the footwear and leg wear. Pure white high-heeled long boots, coupled with white over-knee socks carrying golden stripes, and detached white long gloves—although these accessories look beautiful, they do place certain requirements on mobility during shooting. Especially when performing large-scale movements, one must ensure that large areas of white do not experience overexposure due to overly bright light, while simultaneously guaranteeing that the fabric wrinkles look natural.

Through these few final frames, we actually also want to express that peaceful yet powerful sensation inherent to the character. Although it is static photography, we hope the frames can transmit a fluid sense of narrative. On the path of character recreation, every single attempt is a dialogue with the costume, props, and lighting. This white studio photography experience was overall highly comfortable, and the final output effect aligned perfectly with our initial expectations.

Lastly, I'd like to share a tiny bit of personal insight regarding composition. Actually, mirror reflection composition isn't difficult; as long as you lock onto the right angle of light and let the main subject and the reflection form an organic unity within the frame, cooperating further with the scattered white gauze curtains and bouquets around, you can easily create this dreamlike visual effect. Looking forward to playing around with more fresh styles and ideas next time during our roleplay creations.
