When putting on this outfit of Arlecchino, the first thing I felt was the crispness brought by the internal layers of the costume. The intertwining of silver and gray-blue, along with the cravat at the neck, fully maxed out the character's cold temperament from the very first step. Before this shoot, I deliberately communicated with the makeup stylist for a long time; the red eyeshadow around the eye sockets needed to be smudged into a sharp yet natural edge. Paired with the black-and-white short hair styling, it created that disdainful and oppressive aura when looking up in the photos. Many people think this outfit looks very rigid, but actually, the choice of fabric is crucial—the silver-gray glossy layer on the shoulders and the irregular cut of the hem allow the body to produce great dynamic textures when moving.

Shooting this cosplay photoshoot was actually quite interesting. In terms of scene layout, there was that dark environment with heavy iron chains hanging in the background, which, paired with the giant scythe in hand, instantly set the solemn atmosphere perfectly. However, during shooting breaks, I really liked sitting on the leather sofa next to it, and that languid feel formed a great contrast with the combat state just before. The shot with the goblet was a combination of snapshots and posing during rest breaks; the amber liquid swirling in the glass, paired with the black claws on the fingertips, perfectly balanced the character's aggressiveness and elegance. After all, the setting of "The Knave" inherently carries a strong two-sidedness and complex emotions, and being able to present these two completely different auras in the same shoot was a successful part of this session.

I have to say, what impressed me the most in this gear was this pair of gloves. The deep black claw pieces, combined with that prominent red trim on the wrist, instantly made my fingertips look long and sharp upon wearing. When holding the glass or gripping the scythe handle, those meticulous makeup and styling details instead became the most eye-catching part of the frame. To match the precision of the Genshin Impact character, the wig was also done very meticulously this time; not only was the styling fixed very securely, but the direction of the hair strands was also specifically designed to prevent messiness. In the restoration of such Genshin Impact cosplay characters, the accuracy of the attire is certainly important, but the soft handling of some details—such as the hardness of the material, the drape of the fabric, and the direction of the wig's bangs—will directly affect the final lens performance. When I got the retouched images, I felt the photographer's lighting was also indispensable; the handling of the shadows gave the costume a strong three-dimensional feel, preventing it from looking flat, and every splice mark was clearly visible under the light and shadow.

Actually, I had tried to arrange the full set by myself a few times before, but indeed, if you have to worry about every link from the tailor to the wig trimming and prop making, it's very easy to enter a state of exhaustion. Coming to HoYo Wonderful House to do the full set this time, my biggest takeaway is that after handing professional matters to professional people, you only need to show your best side in front of the lens. Because the costume and props were carefully tuned before the shoot, there were no issues like the wig sliding backward or prop parts falling off. From beginning to end, I only needed to focus on unleashing the character's aura, without being distracted by those sudden minor situations. The makeup artist would also fine-tune the color intensity of the eyeshadow according to different scene lighting, allowing both the indoor soft light and the scythe's red light background to yield great shots.

After the final photos came out, we tested the color performance under indoor soft light and dark environments. Currently, this set of images actually leans more toward a cold color tone with a certain grayness, which perfectly fits the inner setting of the character Arlecchino. Whether it's the oppressive feeling of standing with a weapon or the composure of sitting and drinking, these are the facets I wanted to present to the viewers under this look. As a cosplay participant, being able to completely immerse myself into this character with unique beliefs and behavior styles through such an exquisite package is actually a very thrilling thing. Putting on these clothes means you are not just wearing a few pieces of fabric, but temporarily becoming that sharp-eyed person holding power. When I took off the wig and gloves at the end of the shoot, looking at the house full of heavy iron chains and leather furniture, I was even a bit dazed, feeling like the character hadn't completely left my body.
