[Columbina Cosplay] Genshin Impact: The Maiden's Mid-Autumn Prayer

I've had this Columbina cosplay outfit for a while now, and sharing it during the Mid-Autumn Festival felt like the perfect match for the lunar goddess theme. The black-to-red gradient wig and white wing hair accessories form the core of this look. I spent quite some time trimming and styling the wig's layers, especially the red dip-dyed sections, which needed to stay airy so they wouldn't look stiff. The outfit embraces a soft white, blue, and light purple palette, complemented by an off-shoulder neckline and metallic accents across the chest for rich visual depth. The skirt is crafted from multiple tiers of fabric that drape gracefully with every step.

While shooting the first set of indoor mirror selfies, I repositioned my seated poses numerous times to capture both the cascading layers of the skirt and the contours of the legs. Holding the phone to cover part of my face with one hand while letting the other arm rise naturally took considerable shoulder and arm relaxation to look effortless. The white lace-up sandals wrap all the way up the calves; sitting for a while during the second shot made the straps dig in a bit, but I pushed through for the final result. The white strapping along the arms also required meticulous pinning, as even slight movement easily caused it to slip. For the first shot, a glowing blue bird was added in post-production to lend a touch of fantasy to the composition.

For the outdoor photos in front of the glass windows, the sunlight was gorgeous. The shot with closed eyes making a peace sign was actually taken while catching my breath, aiming to showcase the character's serene, tranquil demeanor. The chin-in-hand pose was meant to shorten the distance with the viewer, keeping the expression soft and approachable. For makeup, I chose purple contact lenses and kept the eye makeup understated to highlight a clear, pristine gaze. The base makeup paired with natural sunlight brought out a clean, radiant texture.

Honestly, the most tedious part of this Anime cosplay was lacing and securing all the straps. Wrapping both the legs and arms neatly while ensuring they didn't slide off during shooting took patience. Maintaining the wig also required constant brushing before each shot. When taking mirror selfies, stray background clutter easily crept into the reflection, so finding the right angle and decluttering the surroundings took fair effort.
