[Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay] Genshin Impact Kokomi Sanfen妄想 1.0 Ver. Seaside Photoshoot Record

Let's dive straight into this Sangonomiya Kokomi cosplay shoot. For this session, I wore the Sanfen 1.0 edition; while the 2.0 version boasts upgrades, the 1.0 design holds its own singular charm. Sangonomiya Kokomi is a beloved character from Genshin Impact, and this wardrobe channels intense marine aesthetic motifs.

First, touching upon the highlights of the design: the palette is anchored in deep navy and pure white, accented with soft lilac and aqua blue highlights. The massive blue-and-white striped ribbon bow across the chest, centered by a gold-bordered crest featuring a swirling blue hydro vortex, serves as the primary visual anchor. To channel her weightless, floating grace, the coat sleeves are cut generously with crisp white piping and flared bell-cuff ruffles. I adore the midriff construction—while bare across the abdomen, it is draped in a layer of sheer, translucent white chiffon gauze that flutters with every step, creating textural layering and airy buoyancy. Down below, the pale violet form-fitting leggings feature diamond-shaped cutout latticework along the outer thighs, trimmed with dangling aqua teardrop crystal pendants. The scalloped black choker at the neck, adorned with an oversized sapphire gem and white seashell motifs, anchors the oceanic fantasy mood.

Because this was an outdoor Seaside cosplay shoot, the intense coastal daylight posed a serious challenge for capturing fabric textures. Sheer gauze tends to blow out into flat white under harsh overhead sun, so we scheduled the main session for late afternoon, utilizing gentle side-backlighting to highlight the woven grain of the chiffon and the rich blue saturation of the coat. Coastal sea breezes brought gorgeous kinetic energy to the trailing fabrics, though it demanded constant readjustments to keep wig tendrils from plastering across my face or tangling the garment folds.

Regarding the coastal swimsuit styling, it felt completely natural. As an adult model, bringing to life an ensemble directly derived from canonical resort motifs is entirely fitting, and this wardrobe was perfect for capturing her relaxing by the ocean. I aimed for organic, unforced body language throughout. Given the vast, open shoreline, we kept our personal belongings and merchandise secure in waterproof bags for safety.

This 1.0 edition put great thought into waist-to-hip proportions and leg contouring; the lavender leggings flatter the leg silhouette beautifully, while the open diamond cutouts provide visual elongation that shone on camera. The 2.0 iteration refined certain textiles, yet this 1.0 run remains a cherished document of my initial interpretation of Kokomi. Posing required continuous mindfulness to project hydro elemental softness—gently floating an arm to let the white sleeve cuffs trace clean lines, or turning three-quarters to let the camera catch both the sheer abdominal veil and the cutout leg accents. Trekking along the rocky shore to find pristine sea-cliff backdrops took substantial walking, but the wind, sand, and ambient sunset glow were irreplaceable natural gifts. Every faux pearl and teardrop pendant shimmered with genuine specular sparkle under the open sky. Mindful footing was essential to keep the delicate cutouts and sheer panels from snagging on jagged reef rocks. Overall, this Sanfen 1.0 shoot was a fantastic milestone that paves the way for my upcoming 2.0 project.
