Recreating this Genshin Impact Navia outfit actually took much more energy than expected, especially when all the details came together. The main black and gold color scheme paired with white tulle ruffles, complemented by mechanical gear element decorations, creates rich visual layers. I had to ensure it didn't look bulky during the shoot while maintaining its structural integrity. To achieve the best effect, I tried on the outfit multiple times to adjust the length of the inner petticoat.

For this makeup and styling, I chose a close-up high-angle perspective to better showcase the layered feel of the choker and the gem chain on the chest. The black lace trim on the collar fits snugly against the skin, and paired with the wide-neck design and the gemstone pendant near the collarbone, it beautifully recreates the character's gorgeous yet sharp elegance. Under the warm yellow lighting, the blue gem texture reflects a subtle sheen that harmonizes wonderfully with the blonde hair and blue eyes, standing out vividly in the frame. For the lip makeup, I also deliberately matched the character's original setting to highlight a vibrant complexion.

The black wide-brimmed top hat is definitely one of the soul pieces of this Exquisite apparel. The golden crest on the brim and the edge trimming are very finely crafted, but they also add considerable weight to the headpiece. During shooting, I had to constantly adjust my angles to keep the hat straight while maintaining an effortless poise. This kind of experience is actually very common in Anime cosplay photoshoots—sacrificing comfort for the sake of the look—but as long as it looks perfect in front of the lens, everything is completely worth it. I really love the mechanical gear shapes on both sides of the outfit; the golden metallic texture glimmers under the light, which, paired with the white lace hem of the skirt, gives the overall aura a blend of aristocratic elegance and mechanical toughness.

The environmental setup for this photoshoot was also thoughtfully designed. The surroundings were filled with artificial flowers in warm tones of orange, red, and yellow, along with white lilies, creating a retro floral manor ambiance. Lying in the flowers created an immersive, flower-surrounded composition that tested my ability to convey a confident, composed gaze. The layered white lace of the skirt spread out naturally among the flowers, while the dark garter with gold square buckles and the mesh details of the stockings were nicely captured from the high-angle perspective. This type of realistic, stage-set-like environment truly allowed the character to step from 2D into a 3D reality.

Regarding the wearing experience of this outfit, besides the hat's weight, special care was needed for the golden trim along the glove edges, as it easily snagged the lace fabric. Therefore, hand movements while posing couldn't be too sudden or large, requiring a relatively graceful and composed posture. To recreate the character's charm as authentically as possible, I paid close attention to gaze expression; the blue contacts gave a sharper look that, combined with the lip makeup, aimed to portray her confident yet youthful charm. Expressing emotion through the eyes required careful calibration—it couldn't be overly fierce, nor too soft.

Makeup longevity was crucial under this lighting setup. The studio heat combined with the intricate outfit could easily cause makeup to slip. I set my makeup thoroughly in advance to ensure it held up over a long shoot. Selecting camera focal lengths was also key: we needed to capture the whole environment while keeping facial and costume details crisp. The high-angle angle attempted this time effectively elongated body proportions while guiding focus toward the hat and core facial features. When the light hit, the foil stamping on the fabric and metallic reflections looked stunning.

Character costumes in Genshin Impact are renowned in Anime cosplay for their exquisite complexity, and this Navia cosplay outfit is packed with design details—every time I bent down or looked up, I had to smooth out the fabric behind me. After finishing this set, I feel I've gained a deeper appreciation for her charm. Though the shooting process was quite exhausting, constantly adjusting poses and expressions, seeing that magnificent quality captured in front of the lens swept away much of the fatigue. I look forward to attempting more character interpretations from this series when the opportunity arises.
