Shooting this version 4.0 of Alisaie, the biggest impression was that kind of sharp, edgy coolness. To express this feeling, I made numerous adjustments to both the overall styling and my poses. First is the makeup part; Alisaie has very iconic pointy ears and an elven face. To create a makeup style that is both translucent and three-dimensional, the base makeup chose a semi-matte texture, with a heavy focus on enhancing the eye area. High-brightness blue circle lenses were used to replicate the eye color, and the eyeshadow part specially emphasized the red-toned blending at the outer corners of the eyes, paired with upswept eyeliner to make the gaze look sharper while retaining the character's inherent liveliness. Wig maintenance was also a major focus. White short hair easily looks flat and lacks layers; I used plenty of hair gel and styling spray to tease out the layers on top of the head, and separately handled that iconic little ahoge, ensuring that no matter the shooting angle, the wig wouldn't collapse or look messy. In terms of clothing, the jacket's silhouette is critical; the stand-up collar design combined with the dark blue high-necked inner layer flatters the neck lines wonderfully. The details of the belt and metal buckles were also areas of focal attention for me, as they add a rugged visual center of gravity within the overall light-colored outfit. The dark pleated skirt on the lower body brings out fantastic dynamic effects during combat movements or turns. Props are definitely the soul of this shoot. Whether it's the grayish-purple spiral-textured grip of the greatsword and staff in hand, the complex and gorgeous golden hollow-out structure at the top, or even the ruby at the hilt's end, the textures were all executed exceptionally well. To make holding the weapons look less stiff, I tried different grip postures—such as resting the heavy sword on my shoulder or holding the staff horizontally in front of me, showcasing a sense of strength through the muscle lines and angles of the arms. Against the dimly lit background of the comic convention site, utilizing the main light source to illuminate the face and metal props gives the frame an even stronger 2D anime fantasy atmosphere. During the shoot, special emphasis was placed on the expression of the gaze: slightly lowering the head and then looking up at the lens, or turning the profile with a confident smile, both can showcase Alisaie's unyielding spirit. The tacit understanding in collaboration with the photographer was truly high, because we both knew Alisaie possesses not only a young girl's cuteness but also resolute determination during battle. When searching for light sources on site, we specifically picked locations with steel frame structures in the background, utilizing the dark-toned environment to contrast against the character, making the subject stand out more. When the light hits the golden parts of the weapons and the white hair strands, the texture of metal and gloss completely emerges. Sometimes, to capture a perfect gaze, we needed to hold a pose for a long time, but seeing myself with clear eyes holding weapons in the finished photos made all the hard work feel worth it. Every recreation of a character is a brand-new experience, and I hope this photo set conveys this coolness to everyone.
