The shoot for Amiya's alternative form on the first day of IJOY is finally complete! For this session, we chose a studio set with a distinct vintage stage atmosphere: white Roman pillars, deep blue drapes, and woven rattan folding screens framed the backdrop, while blue-and-white checkered rugs and reflective flooring covered the ground, delivering exceptional textural depth once the studio lamps lit the space. I explored a more casual, everyday styling for Amiya cosplay, donning brown-and-white bunny ears, a black top accented with blue highlights beneath a cropped cyan-blue cardigan jacket, and a blue-and-black plaid pleated skirt on the bottom. Beneath the skirt, I wore black Stockings paired with black leather chunky heels, perfectly harmonizing with the rich blue draping of the set. Hugging an oversized plush carrot cushion served as an incredible interactive prop during the shoot, making my expressions and gestures feel instantly more natural. While bunny ears and carrots naturally evoke cuteness, calibrating the studio lighting also brought out a dramatic stage theatricality—especially with reflections gleaming off the glossy floor, lending generous layers to the frame. Coming from the bustling foot traffic on Day 1 of IJOY, stepping into the studio offered a serene, focused haven. My friend took the photos, and thanks to our smooth rapport, he knew exactly which angles flattered me most, saving immense time during posing. I handled post-processing myself, fine-tuning chiaroscuro contrast to clean up ambient tones while preserving natural skin texture without altering my core facial features, striving to faithfully recreate the vintage, dreamlike mood of the studio. Traced against the reflective floor, the silhouette of the black Stockings looked graceful and organic, uniting with seated poses and the carrot hug to project an obedient, endearing charm without appearing forced. Pairing the plaid skirt with Stockings and black leather dress shoes channeled a timeless collegiate aesthetic that resonated deeply with Amiya's personality in this form. Because the studio featured numerous blue drapes and white pillars, I carefully angled my torso while seated on the carpet so my leg lines followed the checkered weave of the rug, visually elongating my proportions and maintaining compositional balance. My friend experimented with varied camera placements—beyond eye-level shots, incorporating subtle high- and low-angle frames—yet eye-level compositions felt most comfortable in the final selection, allowing the Roman pillars and floral arrangements to frame the subject without overpowering it. Meeting so many passionate Arknights fans on Day 1 of IJOY was heartwarming. Every time I step into Amiya cosplay, I discover fresh nuances; different forms call for distinct expressions, and while this take leaned into sweet, casual warmth, I look forward to exploring new styles next time. Overall, the studio shoot was deeply satisfying—the set, lighting, and props fully realized my initial vision, the raw captures were already stunning, and the finished color-graded set is something I genuinely adore.
