Shooting this Lynette Cosplay look at the World Line Anime Convention went smoother than expected. The white waist-cinching corset is quite demanding on figure, cinching very tightly around the waist so you can't wear much underneath. The skirt features a gradient from white to peacock green, utilizing plenty of mesh fabric that creates wonderful motion when walking, though the voluminous puffy skirt makes it easy to trip over one's own feet. The outer sleeves are sheer puff sleeves; this material reflects light easily on camera, so we adjusted the lighting numerous times. On my feet, I wore transparent block-heeled sandals; the heels were so high that standing for long periods made the soles of my feet ache terribly, forcing me to find a spot to sit down during almost every break between shots.
In terms of hair and makeup, the wig was light blonde; styling the two buns on top along with the small animal ears took quite some effort. Green highlights were intentionally added to the sides of the bangs, matching the exotic violet-blue tone of the colored contacts, along with a small black star sticker under my right eye. The eye makeup was meticulously drawn with elongated eyeliner, complemented by an orange-toned blush to soften facial contours. I touched up my setting powder multiple times before heading out; since it was an outdoor Anime convention and the plaza was quite windy, both the wig and skirt required constant wind protection.
The photographer's pose guidance was spot-on, knowing exactly how to shoot to make legs look longer and from which angle to best accentuate the corset lines. The plaza had heavy foot traffic with people constantly passing by or walking into the frame, yet the photographer seized several pristine moments entirely free from bystander interference. The shoulder-strap adjusting pose in the third photo beautifully highlighted the garment's silhouettes, which was why it was ultimately selected as the main cover. Throughout the shoot, gestures and expressions required continuous tweaking—like propping up my chin or raising my hands—and keeping my gaze locked onto the lens to give the composition more depth.
The essence of portraying Genshin Impact's Lynette lies in that cat-like feline agility coupled with a touch of languid nonchalance. I ran into many fellow fans at the Anime convention, exchanging insights on faithfully recreating characters. Rather than purely copying the original design, I prefer blending in a bit of my own interpretation of her personality. Cosplaying at an Anime convention is physically demanding; just putting on all these accessories took half an hour, and walking around the venue in high heels left my calf muscles aching by the end. Yet upon receiving the retouched photos, all the effort felt thoroughly worthwhile.
While organizing the photos, I naturally edited this set, primarily balancing the highlights and shadows along with skin texture, subtly elongating proportions without excessive distortion. I'll likely be busy with other work going forward; this set feels clean and crisp overall, ranking as one of my most satisfying recent cosplay photoshoot sets. The white and cyan-green color scheme displays great translucency under the light, though it truly tests one's physique. One slight regret from this shoot was not capturing more dynamic full-body shots, but overall, it was a wonderful experience and memory.
