Bringing Dusk to life for this Studio shoot was a dream project. In preparing the garment, standard cotton or linen would have felt too heavy for her ink-wash aesthetic, so I opted for translucent layered organza and chiffon, which naturally drape and flare with the slightest movement. Her wig combined a black base with blended cyan-blue highlights, crowned by custom lightweight clay coral horns adorned with pearls and floral touches.
To convey the otherworldly divinity of the Manifestation of Sui, the makeup featured soft, faded brows with high-contrast red and teal eye accents, finished with neat prosthetic pointed ears. For her patterned hands, I wore nude mesh gloves and spent nearly an hour hand-painting orange-red and navy motifs directly onto them. Posing barefoot against the pristine white studio background heightened the ethereal sense of detachment, with black flats kicked casually to the side. Wielding a weighty red-scabbard long sword alongside a painted bamboo fan, dual rim-lights preserved the sheer layers of the chiffon. Extending leg lines through the semi-sheer fabric while keeping distant, languid gazes perfectly embodied Dusk's reclusive, painterly presence in this Arknights Ancient style cosplay set.
