This set of Augusta cosplay photos from Wuthering Waves focuses primarily on the interaction between the character and specific props, as well as the background space. After deciding to portray this character, the first thing that came to our minds was a red-and-gold color-schemed throne and an indoor setting with European architectural style. This setup, carrying a certain sense of holiness and contrast, fits the character's own temperament beautifully.

Let's talk about the costume and prop preparations first. The wig for the red-haired character has plenty of hair volume. To pair with the wig, we specially customized that golden radiant headpiece, while the neck accessory, the sun pendant on the chest, and the crossbody leather straps were all finalized after comparing multiple versions. The white-and-gold outerwear and skirt hem feature a glossy material adorned with golden plant-patterned subtle embroidery. To ensure overall lightness, the multi-layered gauze materials inside the skirt hem underwent a weight-reduction treatment to avoid looking stiff during movements. Especially for the brown leather strapped sandals visible in the second photo, such grounded details heavily test the durability of props. Fortunately, the shoes maintained an excellent shape throughout the entire shoot that day, ensuring high costume accuracy.

Instead of choosing a full real-scene construction, the shooting scene used a European single chair with a dark red upholstered backrest and golden embossed edges as the core visual anchor point. A circular floral-patterned carpet was spread on the floor, and architectural pillar structures were subtly revealed above. The most unexpected addition to this Anime-style photography session was actually the rainbow flare effects generated using an optical prism. These colorful circular halos, paired with a slightly high-key lighting scheme, brought out a highly transparent texture for the white-and-gold clothing, endowing the entire space with a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere.

Regarding the choice of body language and movements, we made two completely different attempts. The first photo adopts a strong low-angle perspective, holding a long pole prop high with both hands. This movement visually elongates the character's proportions, showcasing a side of the character filled with a sense of control and power. The second photo returns to a static sitting posture, with legs crossed, one hand lightly caressing the hair, and gaze slightly lowered. I feel that this relaxed yet somewhat high-status way of sitting best reflects the character's innate composure and aloofness, allowing viewers to focus more on the layers of the attire, the hair color, and that golden sun wheel prop by her hand.

What I'm quite satisfied with about this shoot is that all the visual elements didn't steal the spotlight, but were presented to match the character's own state. Whether it was the drape of the white lightweight gauze skirt, the snug fit between the brown bracers on the arms and the skin, or the adjustment of the posture after holding the long pole prop for a long time, we made multiple detail corrections during that day's shoot. Although the shooting process was quite intense, especially walking back and forth indoors wearing multi-layered clothing in the middle of summer, seeing such quiet yet tense moments captured from different perspectives made it all feel completely worth it. I hope this dedication to visual accuracy and emotional alignment can be conveyed to people who love this work through this set of cosplay photos.
