When shooting this outfit inspired by a Bride cosplay design, my main focus was actually on creating the overall atmosphere. The dress is from SanFanWangXiang; the pearl tassels at the neckline and the light blue bow on the chest present excellent material layers under sunlight, while the white lace trim and pearl decorations on the veil add an elegant weight to the gorgeousness. To coordinate with the cool tones of the costume, I chose a light-colored silver-white hair shade and a highly translucent foundation makeup, emphasizing the contours and spirit of the eyes. The lipstick was specially chosen in a light rose-bean paste color with a slight watery luster to echo this lightweight, romantic scene setting.

For the shooting scene setup, we referenced the style of an indoor European greenhouse. The deep blue-green wainscoting serves as the backdrop, beautifully setting off the clean look of the white-and-blue dress. To enhance visual richness, a large number of blue-and-white hydrangeas and light-colored roses were used as embellishments in the scene, forming a visual consistency with the dress patterns and headpiece accessories. The photographer used quite a few wide-aperture lenses and foreground blur techniques this time. For instance, when shooting close-ups and half-body portraits, out-of-focus petals in the foreground were utilized to enhance the dreamy feel. This effect of letting light filter through the transparent tulle onto the shoulders makes the whole person appear soft.

Although this look features a fluffy short skirt, the overall upper body still has some weight when adding the veil and extensive accessories. To express movements naturally and fluidly in front of the lens, I looked up many reference poses, such as interacting with everyday items like books and a little white rabbit plush, or gently pulling up the edge of the veil. The combination of stockings and silver sequin high heels also makes the leg lines appear lighter in the frame. For the indoor lighting, we chose several sets of softboxes, using diffused reflection and side-backlighting to shape the facial contours, doing our best to prevent intense light from causing overexposed facial highlights. Rather than pursuing flashy visual effects, I prefer this soft, translucent presentation that resembles an oil painting texture, which also kept my mood very relaxed during the shoot. The yield rate of this entire set of photos is very high, and the reproduction level of the makeup, styling, and scene is quite on point, basically achieving the expected pure white, celestial girl vibe. This is a very heartfelt creation, and I am grateful to the photographer for their patient adjustments to the set and lighting in this piece of Anime-style photography.
