The perceived temperature inside the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention hall was freezing, with drafty chills blowing from all sides and stiffening joints—especially in thin, bare-shoulder fabric, making it feel bitterly frigid. To convey Bai Feng's cool, detached elegance on camera, I dedicated substantial effort to makeup: pale contacts paired with cool-toned contouring and an ash-toned pale foundation matched the character's persona. Pre-shoot preparation centered on arranging the outfit; the silky white top had a fluid drape, so to prevent the shoulders from looking bulky, I used safety pins repeatedly to tighten the neckline. The neck choker and crisscross chest straps narrowed the waistline while adding a sharp, commanding edge.
For posing, the photographer utilized a black metal step stool. Holding the pose was quite demanding, requiring an upright, engaged spine while deliberately pointing the stiletto toes downward to elongate the leg lines. White tights cosplay paired with white stiletto heels formed the visual anchor, catching crisp reflections under cool ambient light. I worked closely with the photographer on framing, especially timing the billowing wide sleeves as they caught drafts for dynamic movement.
In post-processing, I deliberately preserved the cool grey-blue tones, desaturating shadows while enhancing highlights across white and silver elements to reflect a crystalline, wintry translucency. To cut through chaotic venue trusses, the photographer shot wide open to blur the background entirely, locking focus squarely on the subject. Watermarks were cropped or retouched out for a clean presentation. Throughout the shoot, I held a proud, slightly lifted chin to project composed elegance, while the cinched tailoring flattered body curves. Despite freezing until hands and feet went numb, bringing these nuanced character details to life at the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention made every bit of cold wind worthwhile.
