Cosplaying Burnice from Zenless Zone Zero at the ijoy anime convention today, this leather outfit paired with dual-wielded rocket launcher props truly defined what it means to be "firing on all cylinders" from start to finish.

Let's talk about the costume details first. This leather jacket was custom-made, with plenty of rivets accenting the black leather; the metallic textures on the shoulders and cuffs are highly accurate. Layered over an inner red high-neck cropped top with cross-straps on the chest, it possesses both street-punk coolness and character-specific playfulness. The black leather skirt and metallic waist modules were also specifically resized by a prop artisan, achieving very satisfying dynamics when striding and opening the hem. My absolute favorite is this pair of high-gloss black over-the-knee leather boots—the red strap details at the collar are the finishing touch, elongating leg lines beautifully and elevating my whole aura the moment I put them on, fitting seamlessly with a Black tights outfit aesthetic.

In terms of props, these two rocket launchers were undeniably the most eye-catching highlight across the entire venue. From the orange-red gradient paint job at the front to the golden spike structures and the "FIRE" markings on the sides, I polished and painted every single detail myself, giving them substantial weight in hand. The white cylindrical ammo canister on my back paired with the dual-wielded heavy weapons generated an insane head-turn rate as I walked around the convention, drawing crowds of photographers eager to snap photos.

The shooting location was an indoor hall at the ijoy anime convention. The lighting conditions were actually quite complex, but the combination of high truss lights and on-site softboxes instead gave the leather reflections and metallic prop textures richer dimensional depth. Especially that low-angle upward shot stepping on the black ladder (the cover photo)—the angle perfectly showcased both the prop's full length and leg lines, which, combined with the red-and-black color contrast, delivered the strongest "Charlie's Angel" visual tension in my view.

The joy of cosplay lies precisely in materializing those exaggerated, cool 2D anime concepts into reality in your own unique way. Burnice inherently carries a wonderful contradiction of being both fierce and cute: twin tails paired with red goggles and heavy firearms, just like a free-roaming flame emissary on cyberpunk streets. Every weapon raise and every angle adjustment was the result of constant communication with the photographers. I deeply enjoy this immersive roleplay at conventions and am truly grateful to friends who helped photograph me, recreating the most impactful vision in my heart.

This full gear took over a month from initial preparation to completion, especially the weight distribution of the props and the tailoring of the leather clothing, which underwent multiple rounds of alterations. Thankfully, the final Convention photos turned out great, making all the effort worthwhile. Given the chance in the future, I'll continue optimizing details to capture more diverse angles, postures, and expressions. That's the beauty of convention photos—always discovering fresh surprises and inspiration, eagerly looking forward to the next journey.
