[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Ijoy Convention Photos: Sweet Moments of the Cryo Main DPS

This time I'm sharing Genshin Impact Ganyu Cosplay convention photos taken at the Ijoy convention, mainly aiming to present this outfit combining leather and lace elements through a studio shoot. The texture of the clothes is divided into two primary tones. The black upper section uses a leather-like fabric designed akin to a bustier, with the golden hollow-out emblem in the center front serving as an eye-catching detail that feels substantial. The neck decoration consists of lace mesh and a black bow embellished with a blue gem, perfectly filling the visual space above the collarbones. This combination of straps and chains carries a touch of punk style while maintaining the original character's sweet design.

For the wig, a light blue style was chosen to match the character's signature feature. Although the pair of red horn hair accessories on top are not large, their color forms a great contrast with the overall pale blue, making the accuracy feel spot-on as soon as it was seen at the venue. The white lace ruffles beside the headband echo the lace on the skirt hem, creating strong visual unity. We specifically picked a pure black backdrop for shooting so the subject could be completely separated from the environment, highlighting the structural details of the costume itself.

The lower hem consists of a white apron skirt, paired with multi-layered light blue ruffly lace, offering great dimensional layering. The belt utilizes a glossy golden material tied with a simple bow, serving to divide upper and lower body proportions at the waistline. The biggest highlight of the entire outfit is actually the back design: black hollow-out lace runs down the center of the spine, connecting the upper and lower body while revealing the full lines of the back and shoulders. When capturing the angle of looking back from a side profile, this design makes the image look very light without feeling bulky.

The temperature at the Ijoy convention on the day of shooting was quite high, making the indoor environment rather humid and hot. Fortunately, the sleeves of this outfit feature a detached independent design. The cuffs use transparent light mesh material spliced with multiple layers of ruffed sleeves with blue lace trimming; arms could move freely inside, offering much better breathability than attached sleeves without that uncomfortable, tightly wrapped feeling. The red tassels hanging from the sleeve cuffs and two small gold bells were the only dynamic decorations in this styling; when doing larger movements, the dynamic effect of tassels swaying on arms turned out great.

As for makeup, focus was mainly placed on the eyes and eyebrows. Since the blue wig on top is very long and the long curly locks on the sides cover the cheekbones, eyeshadow in reddish-brown shades was used with elongated eyeliner to make the gaze look deeper. Lip color used a pure red to contrast with the forehead space around the bangs. The overall feel balances an ethereal vibe while fitting the character traits from Genshin Impact. To restore the character's demeanor, most poses selected relatively gentle half-turns and front-facing shots without making exaggerated movements.

For the lower half, the stockings chosen were black over-the-knee length, made of a slightly sheer material rather than particularly thick pure black. The top is tied with a bow using blue ribbon, sitting right around the mid-thigh. Pairing a black background with black lace and a black tights outfit creates an overall dark tone, but thanks to the white apron skirt, highlights, gold trimmings, and hollow-out details, the image does not bleed into a mess, maintaining the subject's dimensional shape. This convention photos session went smoothly, and the photographer used side-backlighting in the light setup to handle the transparent mesh texture—especially the lighting angle in the second photo looking back, which beautifully illuminated the light through the sleeves.
