This time, I'm sharing a set of photos shot in an indoor studio replicating a school storage room. We deliberately selected a room with excellent natural lighting, where light from the window streamed diagonally inside onto the natural wood desks and floor, crafting a wonderfully languid and authentic afternoon campus ambiance.
Considerable effort went into the styling to faithfully restore the character design. The wig features a striking light green shade with richly layered tones, paired with custom pointed elf ear props and that iconic hovering halo overhead. Though mounted with a transparent bracket, it looks remarkably natural in the final images. For makeup, enhancements were made according to the distinct traits in the original work, emphasizing the eye contours to complement the bright green hair and project vibrant, lively energy.
For attire, we chose a classic white short-sleeved school gym shirt with navy blue piping at the collar and cuffs, paired with navy blue athletic shorts. The cut of this gymnastics uniform carries strong school aesthetics, and paired with white tights cosplay, it looks clean and crisp while highlighting the lines of the legs under the sun. To accentuate the texture of the white tights during shooting, we carefully adjusted the lighting angles to prevent heavy overexposure from washing out the fabric texture.
The staging and prop setup was also thoroughly deliberate: the fully packed volleyball cart brimmed with life, filled with multicolored volleyballs. The brown leather vaulting box in the corner and the light-toned metal lockers are fixtures commonly seen at school. On the desk, a wooden calendar displaying "January 18" was intentionally placed alongside a globe and several small potted plants—details that instantly pull viewers into that specific setting.
Although solo shots make up the majority of this set, given the lore, we also kept the inseparable bond of the Railway Twins in mind during shooting. This gymnastics uniform truly tests body control and posture; seated poses shouldn't be overly rigid, requiring an effortless, girlish grace to blend seamlessly into the everyday ambiance. Strong, hard light creates sharp chiaroscuro lines, and utilizing these shadows well adds dimensional depth to the image, giving flat photos stronger narrative tension.
Overall, this photo set preserves the lively, playful charm of the characters while infusing a realistic youthful nostalgia under the warm afternoon sun. From the wrinkles in the clothing to the cart full of volleyballs, everything works together to construct a resonant school setting for viewers. To capture the angle where sunlight poured perfectly across the desk and legs, we adjusted the placement of desks and chairs multiple times. The props team even prepared volleyballs with varied graphic details, which served as wonderful finishing touches in the frame. As an indoor anime cosplay creation, the final lighting and atmosphere fully realized our initial concept, making it a truly delightful shooting experience.
