Today, I cosplayed Phoebe from Wuthering Waves.
Regarding the wardrobe, the white-and-gold design relies heavily on tactile fabric quality. To recreate this ensemble faithfully, considerable thought went into material selection and intricate details. The dark high collar at the chest and the golden cross motif harmonized closely with the character's disposition. The blue capelet and braided blue cords cascading down the chest served as the visual centerpiece; during the shoot, adjusting the angle of the capelet was essential to create dynamic layering. The dark striped ribbon and blue cross ornament on the wide-brimmed hat served as crowning touches for the styling. Pairing golden edge embroidery with delicate black lace along the cuffs lent a clean yet exquisitely vintage aesthetic. At the skirt hem, lace trim and dark stripe patchwork introduced grounded structural lines to an otherwise pure white palette.
For the wig, I selected long blonde hair styled in loose, voluminous waves, paired with blunt straight bangs to balance overall facial proportions. For eye makeup, blue-violet lenses emphasized crystalline clarity, complemented by soft blush to maintain a fresh, natural glow before the camera lens.
During the studio session, the set featured plush fur rugs, colossal white feather props, and vibrant stained glass windows. To complement this sacred, pristine environment, the photographer relied primarily on large softboxes for frontal illumination, keeping the overarching frame luminous. For posing choreography, I introduced interactive gestures—such as resting a hand gently upon the hat brim or lightly tapping a finger against my cheek—to keep my body language organic rather than stiff. Wearing White stockings and white high-heeled boots meant paying close attention to leg angles while seated, simultaneously elongating leg contours and keeping the skirt drape pristine.
The polearm prop held in hand felt substantial and weighty; the contrast between the black shaft and the metallic bronze base gave it authentic presence. When executing poses leaning back or angling sideways, maintaining core engagement was vital to keep the weapon stable.
Because this styling involves numerous accessories, every repositioning required meticulous inspection. The blue capelet in particular would disrupt visual balance with the slightest fold, requiring frequent pauses to smooth it out. In seated stances, the long curly hair tended to tangle with the capelet and hat, demanding constant vigilance over hair contours to prevent visual clutter. The entire session took several hours, cycling through diverse seated setups, and the final results proved very satisfying. Uniting white, gold, and blue in harmony against the studio palette framed the look wonderfully.
