With BilibiliWorld approaching, looking through the photos taken at various conventions over the past few weeks, I felt that if I didn't post them now, they'd end up gathering dust on my hard drive. To avoid spamming my feed with single-photo posts, I decided to compile these Convention photos into one massive collection. The outfits featured here were all prepared around the theme of the Blue Archive 2nd anniversary, and since I'll be attending Day 2 and Day 3 of BilibiliWorld, this serves as the perfect warmup.
This outfit with red-and-white shoes and a yellow umbrella was inspired by a daily uniform look I love. That bright yellow umbrella is remarkably photogenic, with a slightly textured matte finish that looks exceptionally clean under good convention lighting. The large pink backpack on my back was stuffed very solidly and felt quite heavy, but combining these props created a fun visual contrast in both silhouette and color palette. For the lower body, White stockings paired with red-trimmed sneakers elongated leg lines naturally, and the seated pose aimed to convey a relaxed, leisurely convention-strolling vibe. Managing cluttered backgrounds is always the hardest part of convention photography, but these sets had relatively clean backdrops. Harsh outdoor overhead sunlight can be demanding on camera gear and easily overexpose facial highlights, so during shooting we intentionally utilized architectural shade for diffused fill light.
Next is the blue cheerleader uniform. The glowing blue halo overhead actually required carrying a portable power bank, or it wouldn't last through the morning. The design of the pom-poms and cropped top has great rhythm; paired with the yellow pom-poms in hand, the entire palette is vibrant and eye-catching. Under the sun, the blue wig and glowing halo formed a fantastic complementary color scheme with great translucency. The tailored fit around the shoulders and waist, along with white wristbands and blue stripes on the pleated skirt, added to the athletic vibe, making this set look dynamic and turn plenty of heads.
The third sailor suit look takes on a completely different style. The light purple wig paired with a pink star-shaped halo, dark navy jacket, and rainbow-striped ankle socks creates a color palette that instantly lifts your mood just looking at it. That backbend pose where she arches backward left a deep impression on me; we tried numerous angles to capture that exact instant. The card stickers neatly laid out on the ground were carefully arranged beforehand to add storytelling depth to the frame, though nailing that perfect shot certainly tested the cosplayer's core flexibility.
The final look with mint-green long hair takes a completely opposite, understated approach. A navy-gray checkered dress—while minimalist in overall cut—features delicate white lace at the collar and a dark green bow for exquisite detail. Paired with pure white ankle socks and brown Mary Jane shoes, the photos convey a quiet, film-like aesthetic. Considering the cluttered lighting inside BilibiliWorld halls, in post-processing I deliberately dialed down highlights and lifted shadow fill light to keep skin tones clean and translucent. While Convention photos don't allow for the precise lighting control of studio shoots, I truly cherish the authentic realism captured in natural environments. Sharing this collection all at once avoids daily single-post spam while presenting these looks comprehensively.
For Days 2 and 3 of BilibiliWorld, I'll probably be in a similar groove, wearing some of the looks featured in these Convention photos to capture fresh perspectives.
