For this finished Furina cosplay shoot, from hair and makeup to venue and post-processing, I chose the full one-stop service from HoYo Wonderful House. The entire process went remarkably smoothly; the raw photos were already outstanding, and the final edits met every expectation. Genshin Impact Furina is a character of multiple identities and complex nuances, so I spent considerable time studying the costume and prop details. The metallic star and moon on the hat, the golden embroidery on the coat, and the asymmetrical glove styling were all focal points to showcase. To complement this opulent deep-blue and white ensemble, we cleanly zoned our scenes.
The two indoor setups emphasized theatrical drama and courtly grandeur. Crimson velvet drapes, golden candelabras, and mahogany chairs formed an intensely imposing space. In the chess-playing sequence, wearing white shorts paired with a black leather Black stockings leg garter not only honored the 2D aesthetic but visually elongated leg proportions, adding a touch of alluring charm. Sitting poised in the chair holding a chess piece, my gaze had to project composed, strategic mastery, striving to capture her commanding aura as a supreme judge. Another standing sequence holding a sword demanded broader physical motion: raising one arm while holding the blue sword in the other, toes lightly grazing the black-and-white checkered floor as the coat tails fell naturally, maximizing the garment's tailored lines and majestic presence.
The other section pivoted completely to a different aesthetic. Moving into a bright indoor space adorned with abundant blue and white flowers, I held a white picture frame and a pink floral garland as props, which not only enriched the composition but echoed the cool hues of the attire. To set this apart from the dramatic solemnity of the court set, I adjusted my mindset to a softer, gentler gaze, even capturing a glance-back shot in front of the piano. The long wig cascaded down my back, catching the natural diffused light from the windows to create a crystalline, luminous texture.
The entire shoot was a true test of stamina and mental focus. From tranquil serenity on the swing to razor-sharp intensity at the chessboard, each scene required rapid emotional recalibration. Throughout the shoot, the team fine-tuned lighting angles with extreme precision, ensuring fabrics of different textures showed their finest quality before the lens—such as the suit's satin sheen looking luxurious under soft lighting, while metal accessories shone radiantly against the moody red velvet drapes. Framing character aesthetics through environmental chiaroscuro eliminated many headaches in post-production. Completing this work with a professional team in a familiar space was a thoroughly delightful creative journey, and each finished photo captures our dedicated exploration of character portrayal in this space.
