This time I shot the Marionette (Sandrone) styling of Sandrone Cosplay in Genshin Impact. The conception of this cosplay actually existed as early as when I saw the official art, but actually implementing it still encountered quite a few challenges. Starting with the clothing, the layers of this outfit are so many that they give you a headache. From the innermost white inner wear, to the middle black waist cincher, to the outer layer with a heavy texture skirt hem, every layer must be worn neatly and adjusted into position, and just putting on the clothes took nearly half an hour. The clothing details are fully maxed out, with a black stand-up collar matched with a golden metal pendant, and the tube top part is a splicing of white and dark red velvet. The most troublesome part is a pair of black split-type sleeves with extremely wide cuffs; I specially added a golden rose as an ornament on the left sleeve cuff. The outer layer of the skirt hem is black with golden piping and ruby decorations, and the inner layer is a pure white crinoline. When walking, an orange-copper lining similar to a swallowtail will flip out, making the layering very strong.

To match the puppet setting, I deliberately accentuated the eye contours in the makeup, paired with light golden long wavy hair and the white petal headpiece with red and gold outlines on top of the head. Because the character's own traits tend toward coolness and refinement, I chose pure white tights for the white tights cosplay, paired with black chunky heels with red straps, which can not only visually lengthen the leg lines, but also neutralize the heavy feeling of the skirt hem.

The shooting was chosen in front of a European-style building at night, with arches and stone railings. The warm yellow lighting shining down gives a very atmospheric feel, but the light also severely tests the texture of the clothing. At first, I tried a standing posture with arms crossed over the chest, wanting to show a puppet feel of keeping strangers away, but found that the skirt hem was too big, making the standing pose easily consume the action and making the whole person look relatively stiff. Later, the photographer asked me to sit on the stone platform, with legs crossed and extending forward. This sitting posture was unexpectedly appropriate; on the one hand, it could fully spread out the layers of the skirt hem, and on the other hand, it could well showcase the details of the white tights and high heels. The mechanical-style props around the waist will even light up with blue light effects in low light; when slightly raising hands to make movements, there will be a contrast of coolness with a little sci-fi feel.

Shooting this set of pictures was indeed quite tiring, because the clothes were heavy and I had to maintain a stiff puppet posture all the time, from the gaze to the placement of fingertips needing careful deliberation. But the design of this outfit is indeed brilliant, especially when light and shadow crosswise hit the black and white fabrics, and the transparency of the material is well expressed. As an attempt, it can be considered trying my best to restore the imagination of this styling in my heart.
