Today's outdoor shoot was chosen in a plaza with many modern buildings. It happened to be an overcast day with no strong direct sunlight, and the diffused light was actually very suitable for shooting this all-black look. This outfit has quite a few layers; the outer layer is a black long trench coat with a very thick texture, and the inner lining is bright blue, which has quite some weight when worn. During the shoot, the spreading motion of the trench coat is crucial; it requires swinging and positioning to drive the hem so that the highly tense feeling can be displayed. To match the setting of BB in Fate/EXTRA CCC, I chose a white shirt with a red tie for the inner wear, tied a red ribbon at the neckline, and wore a matching bow hair accessory on my head.
The wig is light purple long straight hair. To keep it smooth, I combed it for quite a while before going out. In fact, it's especially prone to tangling during outdoor shoots, so it needs to be groomed from time to time. In terms of makeup, the red-toned eye makeup was deliberately deepened, cooperating with the character's mysterious and slightly little-devil temperament, keeping the gaze as cool and focused as possible while taking pictures. The silver cane in hand is a great prop; holding it not only makes the actions richer, but also helps the body maintain balance and strike poses more in line with the character setting.
The lower body is matched with a black pleated skirt. For visual effect, I chose over-the-knee boots with cutout designs on the thighs, which, combined with platform high heels, stretches the overall proportions a lot. But I must say this pair of platform shoes is really high; walking around in the plaza puts quite a heavy burden on the ankles and calves, but I gritted my teeth and persevered for the sake of the photo results. The black over-the-knee Stockings have a very skin-tight material, which, paired with the boots, slightly exposes the edges of the thighs while walking, greatly increasing the layering and attractiveness of the frame. In the first picture, I point forward with one hand holding the cane, mainly to highlight BB's strong yet somewhat tsundere posture, while the second picture utilizes the action of spreading the trench coat lining to make the color contrast of the entire styling more intense, and the black-blue combination looks particularly textured against the overcast background.
To be honest, this outfit is very demanding on action design during dynamic snapshots; you can't just stand there blankly. I tried using waist strength to drive the hem of the trench coat. Although displaying the blue-black contrast of the trench coat lining is very good-looking, the trench coat is indeed very long, and a slight carelessness will cause you to step on the hem or the corners of the coat. Because the overcast light was relatively flat, I slightly adjusted the color temperature and contrast in post-processing to make the overall look more translucent. The modern buildings and glass curtain walls in the plaza formed a relatively tough background, which created a wonderful cross-dimensional collision when matched with this outfit containing uniform elements.
The initial intention of shooting this set of photos was mainly to earnestly showcase the unique charm of the character BB, striving for restoration in both prop usage and clothing details. Although the weather wasn't very sunny, being able to smoothly complete this outdoor shoot and leave behind these satisfying pictures made this trip very worthwhile.
