Putting on this Honor of Kings Daji outfit, my very first impression was its intensely vivid color contrast. The bright yellow top paired with black leather patchwork, combined with asymmetrical tights transitioning between purplish-red and blue gradients, delivers immense visual impact. To faithfully recreate the character's traits, I wore an orange short bob wig and those fluffy ear hairpieces, firmly securing the ruby gemstone right in the center of my forehead. The colossal orange tail behind me proved to be the single greatest challenge of the shoot; the prop carries substantial physical weight and volume, relying entirely on waist core power to maneuver. When posing, I constantly recalibrated my core engagement to prevent shifts in the tail's center of gravity from throwing off my overall posture.

For this shoot, we chose the second-floor concourse corridor of a massive exhibition hall, framed by distinct steel trusses and neatly aligned ceiling lights. To accentuate the subject's vivid palette, the photographer desaturated the background in post-processing into a monochrome grayscale, preserving the pure, saturated orange, yellow, and purple hues on my body, which significantly elevated the compositional depth. During the shoot, I wore black platform ultra-high stiletto heels, with the red underside of the soles echoing the costume's overarching color palette. Balancing atop the stepladder required keeping leg muscles perpetually engaged—especially in the first photo where one leg was raised high toward the lens; showcasing the intricate Stockings pattern while keeping completely still and maintaining facial expression control was a genuine trial of physical endurance.

Speaking of facial expressions, the focal point of the makeup lay in the eye styling: pairing crimson contact lenses with eyeshadow brought out that signature spirited allure and coquettish charm of the character. Complementing the gold piping and metallic accessories across the outfit, I strove to keep my body language relaxed while locking my gaze sharply onto the camera. Hand gestures underwent numerous revisions as well—whether lightly caressing the cheek or forming specific finger shapes, all aimed at deepening character immersion. In such an expansive hall setting, the interplay of natural light and overhead lamps created heavy facial shadows; by continually repositioning, using the top light for rim definition, and bouncing fill light with reflectors, we achieved these crisp, high-contrast frames.

The giant tail frequently brushed against the ladder or floor during the shoot, so an assistant had to help fluff and groom the fur volume and shape with every pose change, ensuring the tail looked plush and full on lens. The asymmetrical Stockings patterns were striking on camera, though aligning and wearing them took considerable time. The entire shoot spanned several hours from prep to wrap. Wearing steep heels and hauling heavy props drained stamina rapidly, requiring frequent breaks for water and rest. While physically tiring, seeing the seamless fusion of light, shadow, and color in the final frames made every bit of preparation worthwhile. This costume is rich in intricate details—from the belt and armbands to leg accessories, every piece demands careful placement without cutting corners; only when the details are perfected does the overall result look authentic and organic.
