Restoring the Cheshire Scrapped Design from Azur Lane, I was deeply drawn to this light and cool-toned blue and white color scheme from the first moment I saw the original art concept. Not only does it differ from the lively vibe of the original Cheshire, but it also adds an elegant, dreamlike atmosphere. To fit the character as much as possible, a lot of thought went into customizing the costume this time. The tube-top corset pattern combined with sheer tulle and lace preserves a girlish feel while highlighting the fluid tailoring of this Cosplay outfit. The light grey-blue gradient wig has an excellent texture under the lights. Paired with this giant ruffled sun hat on my head, it looks incredibly photogenic.

For the shoot, we chose a European-style set dominated by a white tone, paired with blue floral art and vintage metal birdcage props, making the colors of the entire frame highly unified and clean. The lighting on-site was mainly soft studio key lights plus a bit of fill light, and the post-processing preserved the original delicate luster of the costume and the texture of the tulle. Actually, many scrapped designs in the 2D world hide extremely high aesthetics and individuality. Every attempt to restore them feels like a dialogue across the screen, and being able to touch these designs in reality through cosplay is a deeply meaningful experience. The photographer I collaborated with this time perfectly understood the ethereal texture I wanted. The panning shots and standing compositions captured the dynamic movement of the skirt hem, and the final finished photos achieved the expected fairy-tale feel. The combination of clothing and props is also quite convenient for daily operations. In addition to restoring the setting, some practical modifications were added to make the overall style better fit the shooting environment during this process of Anime-style photography.
