The wooden oiled-paper umbrella in my hand was the key prop of the entire look, forming a wonderful visual frame when opened. To hold it steady while shooting, I had to be mindful of wrist control so it wouldn't obstruct my face or break body silhouette lines. The wig was styled with slightly textured, tousled layers, and combined with the delicate headpiece featuring turquoise stones and a golden base, it instantly immersed me into a fantasy realm interwoven with Chinese style.
For makeup, since the attire is already quite intricate, I opted for warm orange-toned eye makeup paired with light amber contact lenses, giving my gaze a clear, spirited look. The high-collared white neck wrap and cropped waist design, worn over dark undergarments, truly test body proportions; fortunately, the cloud patterns along the skirt hem paired with the orange-red cape visually elongated my figure.
Warm golden light on set fell across the bamboo lattice backdrop, casting soft, gentle shadows. The organic texture of this scene harmonized effortlessly with the character without needing exaggerated posing; even slightly turning sideways or looking down to adjust a cuff produced natural frames with every shutter click. Communication with the photographer went smoothly as we aimed to maintain an upright posture while capturing Yunli's blend of feisty pride and sweet charm.
The costume accessories are quite elaborate—metal arm bangles, emerald accents on fingerless gloves, and pleated cuts on the miniskirt required careful attention during dressing to ensure every piece stayed snug.
