This time I did a Citlali cosplay from Genshin Impact. To replicate the character as much as possible, I put a lot of thought into managing the wig. The light pinkish-purple gradient hair color required layered dyeing, and a styling wire had to be added inside the braids on both sides to maintain this anti-gravity curved arc. The metal rings on the braids were also specially customized based on the character design, with the spacing of each section adjusted to a visually balanced position.

In terms of costume production, a dark blue fabric with a slight velvet feel was chosen for the top. The light blue geometric tie on the chest and the pink-and-blue spliced triangles at the neckline were all hand-cut and pressed into a stiff shape. What needs to be emphasized most is that circular metal accessory at the waist, inlaid with a beautifully textured blue-and-purple crystal. It is quite heavy and requires hooks and adjustment straps to be firmly fixed onto the surface of the top. The gradient skirt pieces of the hem are a major highlight; to make them present that nebula-like visual effect when draping naturally, the purple gradient at the bottom of the skirt was crafted using a spray-dyeing process. Coupled with the light-colored grid texture, the overall sense of layering is very rich.

The shooting location was chosen inside a high-ceilinged anime convention venue. Utilizing the cool light source from the top of the hall and the on-site reflections allowed the dark-colored costume to showcase subtle glimmers. The white light-dust special effects added in post-production were meant to enhance the character's ethereal quality, giving the frame a more magical atmosphere. Regarding makeup, the base must be clean, and a cool-toned palette leaning toward purple-blue was chosen for the eyeshadow, which, combined with the use of light blue colored contacts, effectively brightened the gaze. The triangle mark right in the center of the forehead was meticulously outlined stroke by stroke using body paint, a crucial detail for the overall character recognition in this Anime cosplay showcase.

Although dragging such a heavy skirt hem and complex accessories around the venue was indeed physically draining, the entire process of getting into character coupled with the cooperation with the photographer made the final photos far exceed expectations. I adjusted my angles many times during the snapshots in front of the lens to find that posture that is both tsundere and composed. Being able to record my favorite character this way and leave no flaws in details like the hair and costume stitching makes this Cosplay photography project a perfectly fulfilling experience.
