Portraying The Tsaritsa, Anastasya this time, the layering of this outfit truly made me both love and hate it. This design in Genshin Impact can be said to max out the sense of ice, snow, and nobility. Once the physical outfit was made, its weight and drape were indeed extremely accurate. When first putting on this strapless long dress, you could clearly feel the tight-fitting waist design; to support this silhouette, a very complex internal skeletal support was actually built in, ensuring that the lines around the chest could be perfectly displayed.
The crown on the head is definitely the visual centerpiece, with a material carrying that icy crystal translucent texture. To keep it stable on the silver-white wig, I used quite a few invisible hair clips fixed to the bottom layer of the wig net. Wearing the elf ears was also a major project; blending the edges took a long time. To hide the seams, a lot of effort went into base makeup and edge coloring, and finally, earrings were used to slightly cover the connection points. The wig adopted a cool-toned silver-white, trimmed with layers to let it fall naturally on both sides of the shoulders, with the length landing right around the collarbones.
The costume materials are extremely rich. To express this complexity, I paired various materials together. The snowflake and ice crystal decorations on the chest are made of a stiff resin material with a high refractive index, which, combined with the dark blue leather bustier, wonderfully accentuates body curves. The white plush shawls on both sides of the shoulders add to the overall sense of opulence and are very soft to the touch. I especially love the sleevelets; the blue line textures resemble ice cracks, and paired with the over-the-elbow length, they visually elongate the arms significantly. The skirt is a multi-layered design: the outermost layer is tulle with golden dark patterns, and the inner layer is dark blue satin, creating a gorgeous reflection when moving. The cut at the bottom of the skirt is asymmetric, and to present that ethereal feeling in front of the lens, I meticulously combed and arranged the pleats for a long time. The golden gemstone necklace around the neck is the finishing touch, adding a hint of warmth to the overall cool-toned palette.
The lower body features white pantyhose with diamond-mesh dark patterns. This hazy, semi-translucent look paired with light and shadow is truly stunning. Compared to pure white, the mesh has a stronger three-dimensional feel, and combined with white platform high heels, it instantly lengthens the leg proportions.
During the shoot, I purposely chose a room with natural light filtering through white gauze curtains. Side-backlighting hitting the body nicely outlined the contour of the plush edges while allowing the luster of the stockings to show. The background was deliberately darkened to highlight the subject. For the sitting posture, I tried crossing my legs, mainly aiming to showcase the magnificent spread of the skirt and the leg lines. Using a phone to block the face was intended to concentrate the visual focus on the costume and the overall atmosphere. The entire shooting process involved constantly adjusting postures so that the pleats of the skirt and the reflection of the stockings reached their best states in the lens. This outfit has too many details, and every bit of tidying was done to ultimately present that aloofness and oppressive aura.
