Slipping into Formidable's bunny-themed Animal ear outfit, I found a flat spot on the rug and lay straight down. The photographer chose a bold 90-degree vertical top-down composition today; the massive red velvet sofa behind me and the vintage patterned rug on the floor formed a background brimming with color tension, perfectly setting off the vivid contrast between today's black and white bunny looks.
First is the White Bunny set, dominated by pure white and soft beige tones. Expansive lace trims cover the sleeves and neckline, paired with black chest straps and ribbon bows to create the refined texture of an exquisite dress. The black tights on the lower half are a part of this Black and white stockings outfit that I adore, specifically matched with a white lace-trimmed leg garter to form an eye-catching visual divider across the dark stockings. When shooting in this supine position, I had to spend significant effort arranging the extremely long, voluminous blonde curly wig. The photographer required the hair to be spread out radially; I combed through the strands circle by circle on the floor to ensure every lock fell into a natural curve inside the frame, demanding far more patience than standing poses.
Then switching to the Black Bunny set, the palette instantly inverted into dark gothic style. The black mesh-paneled neckline and high-waisted black skirt, paired with a striking white bow tie across the chest, offered rich visual layering. For this look, I changed into white tights, creating a completely different aesthetic from the black stockings in the first setup. The white stockings paired with black high heels looked exceptionally crisp and clean against the dark red rug. While shooting this set, I curled and tucked my legs together slightly to better showcase the leg lines and the arch of the heels. The plush black-and-white bunny ears accessory overhead was readjusted as well, ensuring it stayed securely anchored to the crown of my head while lying back without looking awkward.
For facial expressions, I chose relatively understated, elegant makeup for both looks. Since the character inherently possesses an elegant yet tsundere disposition, heavy colors weren't necessary—keeping the base makeup translucent with a naturally rosy lip tone, gazing slightly upward under the overhead angle, perfectly captured a silent, captivating interactive tension. As the light washed over my face against the red sofa background, the captured Cosplay photography stills naturally exuded a warm, cinematic vintage tone.
The entire shoot was actually quite demanding physically, as lying on the floor continuously while maintaining a relaxed facial expression—along with preventing intricate lace and mesh from getting disheveled when sitting up—was tricky. Yet seeing the final photos, the dramatic tension of the hair spreading like a blooming flower under the top-down view and the contrast brought by the two different Black and white stockings outfit variations made this attempt completely worth it. Black bunny or white bunny, each look has its own unique charm. Throughout this Azur Lane Formidable cosplay work, I invested equal devotion into both, hoping to faithfully bring every facet of the character to life.
