[Kasuga Tsubaki Cosplay] Blue Archive: Tour Guide Partner Under the Night Sky

On the streets at night, the small orange flag and microphone are the signals, and at this moment, I transformed into Kasuga Tsubaki from Blue Archive. Putting on this tour guide uniform gave a wonderful feeling—a dark fitted suit jacket paired with a matching skirt, a vibrant red bow tied at the white shirt collar, and the signature black round hat perched steadily on my head with that white flower accent beside it. Every detail declared the character's identity. For the shoot, we specifically chose an old public phone booth in a city corner; it might look a bit outdated during the day, but once lit up at night, the cool-toned glass reflections and surrounding neon streetlights unexpectedly fit this "night stroll" themed Cosplay photoshoot perfectly.

I initially envisioned this scene because Kasuga Tsubaki is designed as an energetic, reliable, yet endearingly clumsy tour guide. Though the nighttime city is noisy, being enclosed in this small transparent space while holding the flag made me feel strangely quiet instead. The small orange flag had a great feel in hand—whether held straight up or casually rested against my shoulder, it formed a strikingly lively visual focal point in the cool-toned frame. Paired with white formal gloves, it not only stayed truer to the character design but also added a professional yet earnest touch when posing.

In fact, what I wanted to present most this time was a relatively relaxed state infused with character-specific traits. As you can see in the photos, to achieve better visual tension, I took off my glossy black chunky-heeled leather shoes, letting my legs wrapped in black tights stretch out casually or overlap while sitting on the metal frame of the phone booth. The texture of the Black tights outfit under the flash and streetlights displayed a remarkably delicate sheen. This posture—taking off shoes and sitting down unguardedly—actually felt closer to a relaxed vibe of "a part-time guide wanting to catch some fresh air with you after working late at night."

A lot of effort went into the lighting setup on-site. The photographer specially used the glass reflections of the vintage phone booth so that blurred shop signs and late-night street outlines in the background turned into ornaments for the picture, giving the overall image more urban ambiance and life. I tried different angles facing the camera—sometimes turning my head as if extending an invitation, sometimes raising the small flag as if guiding the way, and sometimes simply leaning against the phone booth divider to space out. Within the limited space, this interactive feel became much more natural and focused.

As a complete photoshoot, everything from makeup and styling to location selection and post-production color grading was designed around the visual atmosphere of Kasuga Tsubaki leading the way on nighttime streets. Black tights and uniforms are classic combination elements; photographing them through a tour guide outfit this time didn't deliberately seek viral trends, but rather stayed as close as possible to the character's professional traits. This allowed the overall look to be visually appealing without straying from the charm of the original character. Through these photos, I hope friends who know Blue Archive can feel that familiar warmth, while those who haven't played can also feel that this combination of uniform and night cityscape is truly captivating for Anime-style photography.
