[Kotori cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail at CPG Comic Convention: Still Waiting for You in Hall 5 Tomorrow

Today at CPG Comic Convention, I cosplayed Kotori from Honkai: Star Rail—the wig and makeup for this look were genuinely labor-intensive. To make the fiber layering look natural, I customized a subtle gradient transitioning from light violet at the crown to deeper purple at the ends, paired with a circular headpiece adorned with yellow blossoms and pearls, spending ample time setting the strands and sculpting texture. Green contact lenses matched with glitter along the lower lash line, heart stickers on my cheeks, a blue choker around my neck, and orange accent details made me quite pleased with the overall accuracy. The purple feather prop held in my hand rendered gorgeously under the hall lights; refining its tactile texture took multiple revisions, but seeing the final result proved all that effort worthwhile.

While wandering the hall today, I crossed paths with so many passionate fans whose warm greetings created an incredible offline vibe. Some friends even tagged along with cameras to document fleeting moments throughout the day. The ambient venue lighting was rather tricky—harsh overhead hall fixtures easily cast heavy facial shadows. Whenever photos were being taken, I gently suggested photographers adjust their angles slightly or use bounce light off nearby booth paneling, which noticeably elevated image clarity. That's a small trick I've picked up from years of convention-going, and I hope it helps the photographers stopping by.

Since I'll be wearing this same outfit tomorrow, I initially wanted to bring plenty of freebies for everyone, but short prep time left me with only a small batch of printed art cards.
