[Hatsune Miku cosplay] Gothic Retro Dark Style: The Mood of Red Sofa and Lantern

For this photoshoot, I chose a Gothic style cosplay look for Hatsune Miku inspired by Vintage dress aesthetics, accessorized with a black veil top hat, red feathers, and a retro lantern to evoke the mysterious nighttime atmosphere of an ancient castle. The set specifically featured a deep red tufted sofa, complemented by surrounding metal chains and scattered rose petals, with localized spotlights making the teal wig the visual focal point against dark tones. To enhance the texture of the stockings and boots during the shoot, I experimented with various sitting postures and leg-stretching compositions. Props like the retro lantern and vintage books also helped deepen the storytelling aspect. In post-processing, we focused on darkening the background while preserving the layered fog, ensuring the image felt luxurious without losing its heavy, dark melancholy. Every time I cosplay Hatsune Miku, I can explore different styles, and I really love this Gothic version myself. Plenty of effort went into details, from how the bows were tied to the lace folds on the gloves. Cosplay life is all about enjoying the process of bringing anime characters into real-world settings.
