Let's jump straight to the topic. This set of photos was completed inside the venue during a weekend anime convention. The industrial-style ceiling and gray concrete floor provided a clean, cool-toned background for this outfit, allowing visual focus to settle nicely on me.

Regarding the design details of this styling, the contrast between black, white, and teal was deliberately reinforced this time. The black mini top hat on my head and the pink-and-black butterfly hair accessory on the side serve as visual anchors for the look. Combined with white lace edging at the waist splicing and black lace sleeve covers, this adds a layer of mature, cool expression to the original gothic dark aesthetic. For hair, long teal curly hair with voluminous waves was used this time; the fluffiness at the hair ends was particularly eye-catching while walking around the convention site, though I occasionally had to run my hands through it to prevent tangles from affecting camera snapshots.

For the lower body, black semi-transparent stockings were paired with glossy black high-heeled pumps. This glossy patent leather material formed great localized highlights under the scattered lighting at the convention, perfectly outlining the curves of my calves, which, paired with the sleek shoe shape at the front of the high heels, made my overall stance appear taller and more slender. The three photos actually capture three distinct states. The single-leg standing pose demanded the highest control over center of gravity—not only stabilizing the pressure point on the soles, but also maintaining an open posture on the upper body while keeping arm swings natural rather than stiff. The shot sitting on a high stool carries a more casual vibe, with legs together and slightly bent, utilizing the heel and black layered tutu skirt to stretch overall body proportions. The front standing photo is, in my opinion, the most direct display of the overall proportions of this outfit, achieving a balanced alignment in both ruffle skirt layering and overall limb lines.

In truth, the actual environment on the day of the convention was far more crowded and noisy than what appears in the photos; luggage, photography equipment, and bustling crowds in the background were the norm. This shoot specifically selected a corner of the hall where lighting was relatively controllable, utilizing fill lights to produce diffuse reflections to solve the complex overhead lighting issues on site. In post-production, we pressed the color saturation of the background very low to display a cold texture close to monochrome, thereby creating a strong visual jump for the bright teal wig and glossy black dress while echoing that cool, glamorous electronic style tone.

Every time I cosplay such a highly recognizable character, a significant amount of preparation time is required—from initial wig trimming and matching eyeshadow shades during makeup to securing small accessories. Particularly the mini top hat on top of my head had to be fixed securely enough; otherwise, it would easily tilt when switching poses. The most exhausting part of shooting was walking around and holding poses in high heels all day, making my soles quite sore by the end of the day, but seeing the captured moments in the photos made all the prior fatigue feel completely worth it.

This set of finished photos actually incorporates a lot of my understanding of the character's traits and styling atmosphere. Controlling eye contact during shooting was also crucial: for standing poses without a specific backstory setting, one's gaze shouldn't be empty or dull, but needs to carry a touch of cool detachment to match the overall dark style. The "electronic butterfly" concept in this styling also perfectly aligns with a virtual singer's vitality—existing in a sound form yet never ceasing. Every time I complete a high-fidelity creation with dedication, it serves as an opportunity to reorganize my understanding of the character and expressive power, and the final photos reached my expected production standard.
