The most exhilarating experience of this convention was finally assembling a trio for a group shoot. I've always wanted to capture Hatsune Miku framed together with the Kagamine twins, and at this event, I happened to grab two amazing partners—one cosplaying the Kagamine twins and the other a seasoned Hatsune Miku cosplayer. The three of us clicked into character the moment we met.
These costumes are from the Muse Dash collaboration design; the patent leather and reflective strip elements look exceptionally stunning on camera, while the star motifs across the ties and belts bring tremendous energy. We briefly synchronized our poses in the rest area beforehand. Being fellow enthusiasts, our chemistry was off the charts—a single glance was all it took to know which direction to pose next. We spent nearly an hour dancing and shooting non-stop; the constant camera flashes almost dazzled our eyes, but checking the previews on screen made every second feel completely worthwhile.
During the photoshoot, we experimented with varied positioning setups: from synchronized jumps in a row and dynamic arm extensions sideways to leaning forward for floor support poses, each pose tested our flexibility and balance. Especially when standing center stage in the middle, I had to coordinate spatial relations with my partners on both sides while maintaining my facial expressions. It was genuinely exhausting, but the resulting visual tension was incredibly powerful. After adding musical notes and starlight visual effects in post-production, the entire photo set instantly channeled the rhythmic pulse of a live concert stage, blending seamlessly with the bustling, lively convention atmosphere.
The greatest joy of attending conventions has never been about waiting in long queues or buying piles of merch, but having a group of friends willing to go wild and dance alongside you. This trio photoshoot not only captured the spirit of the characters, but also documented our free, pure happiness in those moments. If another convention opportunity comes up, I'll definitely bring them along to unlock even more dance routines and bring the rhythmic choreography of Vocaloid tracks into the real world.
